Hunter trick

This is my first post.
Most of the hunters may already doing this because it is common sense but I had to see that on video to realize how helpful it is.
The objective is to distract a group of mobs from a specific place they guard and give you time to loot the chest/mine or what ever treasure they guard. This method can be also used to skip a pack of mobs without risking to have a resist on feign death.

1)You position you pet far away from you and the pack (maximum 100 yards). You might need to use Eyes of the beast and have your pet on “stay”.
2)You cast misdirect on pet and the just multishot the group of mobs.
3)You loot the treasure, go on a safe spot and FD.

Hehe, I use this quite a bit on Heroic bosses, so it gives us extra time to deal with any adds before concentrating on the boss (E.g. Hydromancer Thespia in Steamvaults).

You did it in the wrong order, you have to feign before you loot the chest because you can't loot it when you're in combat. After the pet is dead, don't worry, they won't aggro back on you again.

Also, Volley is a bit more useful for this IMHO.

heres how i do it

1) position pet on stay out of los (for casters) and pretty far away
2) lay a frost trap in the zone right before u aggro the mobs (make sure the mobs will run into trap)
3) hit attack on ur pet bar (when targetting a mob)
4 ) when he aggros, hit the passive button, and he will go back to the stay spot
5) FD when the mobs reach the trap, and make sure u are out of combat
6) loot the chest, and walk away before mobs come back
7) rez pet and feed it

You dont need to do multishot, if you hit 1 mob with MD on it's good enough
