old but clever trick I use to make easy money

This one is old but I hardly ever see it anymore, not only does it easily make you quick and easy gold but it almost always works and is very funny.

With current BOE epics or even better the Darkmoon fair quest hand in's, simply buy one for their "real" value say 5k, list it on the AH for 9k (make sure you are the only person listing that item on the AH) and then log over to an alt and spam trade saying you WTB [item you just listed here] for 11k, it's almost guranteed that somebody will /w you within 10-15 mins and offer you one, as they have looked on the AH and seen one for 9k and think they can make a quick and easy 2k profit, at this point make the transaction seem real and just hope that he's looking to buy your auction listed...as soon as you seen it sell, then log out and enjoy your profit!

Like I said, an old trick to sell items but it always works with some poor sap...especially during peak times on servers.

Lol, I used to do this on Runescape about 10 years ago. Very old and not very reliable on WoW as generally people will know whats going on if they see it for lower than you are offering on the AH.

This has never worked for me, because whenever i do it people just go 'There's one on the AH for cheaper go buy that'
Tbh this is kinda unbelievable too, who's gonna believe that youre willing to buy stuff in trade chat for 11k when you havent even checked the AH price...
