Hello Mmowned or should I say Ownedcore!

Not sure if this is really a huge gold making guide but its atleast a headsup for the people willing to make some gold.

The patch 4.3 just hit the PTR and I was checking out the patch notes and saw the new profession recipes. There will be 8 new recipes for leatherworking and 6 for blacksmithing.

Now the thing is all the leatherworking recipes have volatile fire, volatile water and pristine hide in the reagent list so I expect their prices and demand going up quite a bit.
Its the same with blacksmithing: all the recipes use volatile fire and hardened elementium bars.

If you ask me this sounds like a great time to start stocking up materials for the recipes!

They also require "Essence of Destruction" which is like "Living Embe"; not easy to get a lot of 'em.

This wont impact the prices on any server really, unless "Essence of Destruction" has an extremely high drop chance which is highly unlikely.

If you think about the prices of volatiles before and after 4.2 I wouldn't recommend stockpiling them.
You know, the recipes for the new epics which required volatile fire? Well, how much of them were made?
There is too much v. fire and not really a lot of people crafting these.
At least on my server the v. fire prices dropped a lot (from 15 to 3 gold) - also v. earth and v. water dropped a lot.

Your statement is very server dependant.
On my server, volatile water was anywhere from 3-7g each before 4.2
Right now, i sell 10 for 250g.

Please don't use half a theory (you didn't refer to a supply part of the supply-demand theory).
Server dependant of course, when the demand of an item is high it dosn't mean its price will go up. Who's to say the supply didn't boom due to people stockpiling previously and then selling off all their stock in one go, thus making supply outweigh demand and knocking the price down.

Chaos Orbs will be BoE next patch therefore it will open up the door to more easy crafting of BoE epics (359s, 365s.) I'm sure new level 85 players will want access to them. Many of those epics will need truegold. Since there is a limited number of alchemist on each server, the price of truegold should will go up unless massive numbers of people decide to take alchemy as profession.

With a new patch if the next tier of armor, 378 can be bought with justice points which are easy to get tons will people will upgrade the gear. With the new gear, there will be demand for gems, as well as enchants. When patch 4.2 hits there was a shortage of red gems. The gems normally sell for 175-225g per gem was selling for 400-500g range per gem. This was on the server US Moon Guard.
