With the prices that were currently on the AH that day I had:

    Red 102x52 = 5304
    Blue 65x18 = 1170
    Yellow 13x24 = 312
    Purple 72x64 = 4608
    Green 28x28 = 784
    Orange 39x72 = 2808
    Meta 383x27 = 10341

Grand total on gems of 25327g

    Now for the disenchanted stuff

    Celestial essences 36x22 = 1512
    Dusts 186x1 = 186
    Shards 47x4 = 188

    Total on disenchants 1886g

    Total earning 27210 - 5000 = aprox 22k

I didn't take the AH into consideration. And everything was averaged. I'm not saying that that's a fixed amount you will get, you could get less or more depending on the price fluctuation of items.

    So far,
    Khaoru

Question: Green gems on my server are very expensive (average around 10g+ each) so, if I cut jasper ect into rings and DE them I'd actually lose money in the way that selling the gems is actually more profitable. Would you attempt to sell the gems or get the DE mats just for diversity?

It really depends on you to be honest. The fundamental idea for any AH user is to make as much gold as possible (at least in my opinion). If you make more gold with uncut green gems and you have the patience to sell them, hell go for it. 10g is way more than 2 dusts (1g per dust on my server).

You are taking the price of the highest cut gem at that time which isn't necessarily going to be what it sells for or even the best cuts. This also doesn't take into consideration processing time, auctioning time (relisting gems vs undercutters etc etc).

Simply put... you are using inflated numbers opposed to averages. If you are EU you likely don't have TUJ to see those sorts of things reliably so i guess you are just going with the information you have.

If you somehow sell 18 sparkling sapphire in less than 5 days i'd be shocked. (and i play on a high pop server)

For a lot of people the ore is going to be much more expensive than say the 28g per stack it was listed at (for example its 40g per stack on my server) so you get quite a bit less for materials as well as varying prices for materials as well which makes profit go down considerably.

Decent guide for newbies to the whole shuffling thing... but some of the information inside has a bit of flawed logic behind it.
