Easily sell items that you find hard to sell.

Hello!
This will be my first post here on MMOwned!


If you find an item hard to sell (nice it if is a quite rare item) then need to have the following items:
Have an item (for example: Titansteel Bar, which is needed for the mechano-hog)
Main character and an alt


So, how do I do?
Put up all of your Titansteel Bar (for example) up on auction house on ur main for a decent price (if there isn't any other Titansteel Bars on the auction house then put it up for a higher amount),
let's say for 100g.
Log ur alt
Spamm trade with:
/2 WTB Titansteel Bar x12 150g each!

People will go check the auction house, they will see a profit, they'll buy ur auction (which was on ur main on the auction house), then whisper ur alt.



Chatlog:
<Stranger> Hey
<You> hi
<Stranger> I got titansteel bars
<You> okay nice
(At this point go to the auction house and see if ur auction is sold!)
<Stranger> meet me up outside bank in org
<You> kk
<Stranger>
<You> okay, lemme log main and send gold
<Stranger> kk
<You>

Log out of ur alt.
Voilà.

this is scam and bannable.

Nobody told them to buy the things on auction house, nobody told them to buy THIS auctions.
If they do this, it's their own fault.
And i bet 99% of the GM´s will tell them the same, if they ever report it.

I use this method on EU realms with things like <60 Epics, Pets, Recipes and Stuff, the only thing you can get is a bad reputation with ur auction- und spammingalt.

Nobody told them to buy it, true, but this was still a huge issue back in 2008 when people started getting banned for this. The CSF was flooded. Regardless of whether or not it is morally a "scam," Blizzard has stated that they consider it one.

What you say isn't strictly true, the whole idea of a scam really is to trick someone into doing something, or in some cases tricking them to give you information. They were tricked into buying that auction, so in my opinion that's still as scam

this method has gotten people banned and was heavily discussed when mmowned had a "Scams" section. the method is older than i care to remember. to those who say this isnt a scam or ban no way...please do not speak on things you think are true. instead try listening to those who are trying to state fact. whether this is still considered a bannable offense in blizzards eyes is beyond me but i dont see why they would change their policies and practices.

however with that said, the final tweaks on this scam i remember was that people were using 2 accounts on separate macs and/or ips.

I do this once or twice a week, since i started playin WoW in 2005.
And i never got any Ban, 3h,24h,48h or permanent - nothing.
I wrote an ticket with an trial account and asked a GM about this and he said its your own fault.
