Basically, he's saying if you want to sell your items really fast (using elementium ore as an example), what you do is link an epic in trade channel. So you would say /2 WTT [Epic item link] -input item you want to sell- and x gold (or don't add anything). Assuming this works, people will want to buy your epic, therefore buying your items on the AH. When you see the spam "A buyer has been found for your item x", then you know they've fallen for it, and just log out, or something and collect your mail.

I see what he's saying, I used to do this one RS, lol. Basically you want to sell Item X on the AH as fast as possible. What he does is he places his items on the AH as cheap as he can get without losing a mass amount of gold, for ex. 1 copper less. That way it's on the top of this list. Then he advertises on trade that he wants to sell/trade a certain item (THAT HE DOES NOT HAVE), like a level 85 epic, for Item X that you put on the AH, for a really good deal. Obviously it won't happen because he does not own the item itself. This way, his item sells and he just ignores the people who want to trade.

The only thing you need to be careful don't say anything that will show blizzard that you both agree in deal try somehow avoid that. GM told me that week ago when I reported some guy that was supose to make me one item. I gave him mats and went to tip him when he crafted he just left and sold item. Gm couldn't help me cus of the above statement.

I don't think this is a scam. And I guarantee it's not bannable unless you make it painfully obvious.

a scam is a way of ripping someone off for something. The op isn't stealing anything from anyone. He is simply tricking them into buying an item.. Even selling them at low market price.

it's definitely sneaky and I can see it raising moral issues. Not saying I'm gna go do it but those claiming it's a scam are incorrect.

the "victim" can turn around and sell the ore for their money back even potentially more. And you get ur gold quick.

Im almost 100% sure this is not bannable nobody can ban you because you sell your items you just may say that you changed your mind and you don't want to sell it
