Just a small tip for all of you. When there still is pyrite ore for cheap (on my server 150-250g / stack ) you probably should buy it if you got loads of money. The price will go sky high when epic gems come out, as they will only be prospectable from pyrite ore Got about 200 stacks of then in bank waiting for now

Titanium from wotlk is same as pyrite in cataclysm.

Titanium ore was always there, it just wasnt prospectable till mid xpac

I'm guessing that they're not gonna make epic gems come from Pyrite like they did with Titanium. Titanium was never prospectable until they released Epic gems, but right now you can prospect Pyrite for Blue gems. My guess is they're gonna introduce Epic gems like they did for TBC, mined/dropped from instances and bought with honor. But if you can get the ore cheap enough, no real danger in stock piling alot of it. At the very elast you prospect it yourself.

Just judging by the whole way Blizzard is approaching Cataclysm, we're far more likely to see a situation similar to TBC where epic gems are only attainable from instances or in exchange for justice/valor/honor/conquest points.

Obviously given enough gold, no amount of speculative buying is unwarranted. But in my opinion it is very likely that this particular investment will bear no fruit.
