GUESS WHAT YOU DAMN RETARD, WARDEN IS _EXTREMELY_ OLD NEWS. IT EXISTS IN DIABLO, STARCRAFT, AND CLASSIC WARCRAFT.

It is Blizzard's anti-detection system. It has been known about for AGES. Your post is obviously copypasta, it even ****ing contains in it that "wow has 4.5 million players". If this was written within the past damn year, that number would be 6+.

BLIZZARD HAS THE RIGHT TO SCAN YOUR COMPUTER FOR WHATEVER THE **** IT FEELS. YOU SIGN THESE RIGHTS AWAY WHEN YOU AGREE TO THE EULA AND TOS FOR THE GAME. What they are doing IS legal.
HOWEVER, since you are all paranoid ****s, Blizzard has stopped scanning all programs other then itself for a while now. This was to prevent kids like you from freaking out, "ZOMG WOW IS CHECKING MY PC TO STOP OTHER KIDS FROM ****ING HACKING A GAME I PAY FOR". It is NEEDED protection to stop annoying *******s from screwing up this game.

    Re: Warden information

Theres another post of a guide somewhere in MMOwned, not really in the mood to look for it, but in the guide it says what the warden really does, true it does alot but it doesnt look at your emails your sending or your websites you're at. it scans your WoW files to see if there are any foreign codes, that meet there hack codes, and they ban you if you do, it doesnt do much more than that, there is a program that tells you what the warden is doing in the guide to, i think the guide was called something like "How to hack WoW" it was about addons...

    Re: Warden information

It is POSSIBLE to stop the Warden from sniffing around. Just install ProcessGuard. It won't stop warden from reading the titles of your open windows, but you will be able to control what it can read and what it can not.

I see two problems in this: they can charge any price they want, which they do, to make you need to consume more than just that. Monopoly. And here's the point in all this which is:
They are obstructing my freedom to go and return(Again, I really don't know how this is called, or if this exists in american law. ). This means i have the right to be in there, as it is a public place, and accept or deny their services based on my concerns only. Now how does that apply to WOW?

Heres the problem with that. And I've been stuidying law as I am going to be a LEO. A club can charge what ever kind of "cover charge" it wants to. Mainly because its privet property. The club more than likely owns the land and the building, And there by can charge you what ever they want to in order for them to let you into the building.

Soooo, the argument you have (while a good try) has nothing to do with WoW at all. The problem we have is that blizz tossed the warden into the fine print and hid it in a patch to start with. I'd be willing to bet at least 80% of the people didn't bother to read the new EULA that comes with each patch. I know I don't. Mostly because I don't keep a damn thing thats of any importance on my comp that I can't fix with a fresh install. No SS numbers no bank stuff, no credit stuff, hell best buy hates me they only want you to pay your bill on line, I still mail them a check and it pisses them off every time.

    Re: Warden information

I think you are forgetting some 2 major parts in your post
    1. There's probably something said in the EULA or ToC about a program that functions like warden, although not directly named and worded so it doesn't sound bad, but we generally don't read that becaause its a waste of precious gaming time ^^

2.you shouldn't be running these programs in the first place

apart form that, +rep for finding out this stuff

    Where's your GM now?

What if you are a minor and cannot enter any legally binding contract? Then could you sue?

    Re: Warden information

I agree with Gary13579 on this one.
i understand how some people could be mad about how warden goes threw ur stuff. But it all comes down to this.. if u dont like it dont play the game, its that simple and like what Sallix said "you shouldn't be running these programs in the first place". If blizzard does endup stealing private info and somehow uses it against u, then u have a reason to sue. When you click the "I Agree" button u r telling blizz u are okay with them scaning u for 3rd person party programs. And if u arent okay with it then dont click the "I Agree" button, its simple.

Btw this isnt ment to be a flame I liked the post i thought it was very interesting + rep =)

This is not a contract. Notice there is no "Sign Here" line. This is an agreement which you must make with Blizzard in order to use their software.

It's like you walking into a bar, shooting someone, and then saying you don't have to follow government/local laws because you are underage.
