Very nice haste proc to lvl 62-> (engineers only)

I came up with this idea today as i was leveling my engineering on my rogue. I made my Deathblow X11 Goggles - Item - World of Warcraft and tought that it would be awesome to place a Thundering Skyflare Diamond - Item - World of Warcraft in that and fulfill meta requirements with Nightmare Tear - Item - World of Warcraft.

The result was that the proc gave me 44,49% haste, which is pretty dang good.

The materials for the headpiece can be pretty expensive and/or time consuming to farm, but that is what it takes to be imba. Other thing that can be a problem is the rarity of that meta gem design, as it is a very rare northrend world drop.

Why not just put that Meta in any helm? That helm doesn't give any haste bonuses.

I believe he is trying to show that this is the earliest point at which you can get a meta gem.

That helm for the simple reason that it is the lowest level requirement helm with a meta socket.

I have dinged to 63 on those shots so haste has lowered a bit but still it is extremely nice.

Yeah it's wonderful for warriors too.

There is also a low level speed potion (I tried searching but couldn't remember the name) but it gives an awesome ~10 second speed buff which is really handy when trying to solo group quests or rare elite mobs.

Haste is for all attacks, spells, melee, and even ranged attacks.

Yeah.

Sorry for necrobumpish posting, but only thing that this does not, unfortunately proc on, is healing.

Imagine that kind of haste proc as a healer when lvling in outland instances... Tank could make some goddang BIG pulls.
