INSANE 23,3k Prot-Warrior-DPS

Hey everybody

Now a little Guide how to dps as Tank in Random heroics. also could work at raidtrash (icc as example)
Spec:
My personal favorit is this: The World of Warcraft Armory
It also has the highest burst potential.

Glyphe:
- Cleave
- sweeping strikes
- Revenge (for Single-Target)

Equip:
- Importend is to get to the Arp hardcap (1400). If u dont get it, get much AP.
- For max Cleave-Damage is a 2.6er Axe in the Mainhand the best choose (I tooked the gladi axe). Axe is musthave for a Axe-spec with 5% more Crit and 5% higher revenge Crits.
- always have sweeping strikes on cd, because than ull crossover 4targets with revenge.

Rotation:
1. Battlestance: sweeping strikes
2. Berserkerstance: Recklessness
3. Def stance: Bloodrage
4. Deathwish
5. taunt mobs
6. Shieldblock on
7. 3x Revenge
8. Spam Cleave and revenge

While this is indeed a nice video, I have a couple of things to say about this.

1. This isn't a protection movie, the warrior is using near-BiS dps gear and a pvp shield/weapon, also he only has 13 points in protection.
2. This isn't ''23.3k dps'' this is a spike of that number, there is no way you can consistantly keep up this amount of damage with this spec. Also I am willing to bet that there are quite alot of specs (arcane mages to name one) who can easily peak 25k dps with cooldowns up.
3. This isn't ''usefull for icc trash/heroics'' seeing as you will be gibbed pretty quickly with this type of gear, it might work in heroics but thats only because you severely outgear them already, remember that this guy isn't hitcapped and will therefore be completely oblitherated by trash in ICC.
This also leads me to believe that you didn't make the video (as you claim) because this video is obviously meant for entertaining purposes, not as a guide

2. sometimes 23k dps sometimes 12k. its just alot as "tank"

so by youre logic when i pull agro on my ret, ret is a tankspec?

secondly tho the burst might be 23k dps, that is with near BiS and prolly nowhere near with lower level, the DPS trough the whole dungeon will be nowhere near as youre relying on cooldowns, 5min for recklessnes, 3min for death wish and 1min for the other 2.

To my knowledge this spec has been nerferd(UA) and a while ago at that so idk if this video is post or pre nerf there are alot of videos of UA specs out there.

I am also interested to have a look at the gear/gem/enchanting in this video. Although I agree with most folks this is not "true" protection. I am also able to see the grey area here...

This is a Warrior, he is geared enough to handle multiple packs of mobs, and be kept alive... where I come from .. if you can hold the agro and NOT die.. you are a tank..

Now I think it is fair to give credit where credit is due.. by that I mean, This was obviously made specifically for bragging rights/video. So yes.. there is some improper gear/spec action going on .. However that being said .. I am very interested to see the gear, so I can "deconstruct" the build and gear and properly do this as a tank.

No .. that just means you fail at your class, and are unable to pay attention to threat meters.

However .. if you specifically ran an instance filling the tank role.. as a ret paladin. And you where able to keep agro, as well as survive. then the answer is yes.
