Solo ICC Trash for BoE Epics as an Arcane Mage

This is very close to a repost. This is the same method of solo farming ICC rep, which has been all over MMOwned since ICC came out. You only went a step further and decided to try to farm the BoEs at the same time.

So the drop chance of a BOE is about 2.5% chance per mob (all boes included) and you are doing this with three mobs at once. So in order to get 100 mobs killed you would need to do this 34 times, which means that you need to do every run in under 2 minuets which is impossible. Not saying that boes aren't worth going after but the drop percent is very low that if you are only doing 100 mobs per hour or so it might not even be worth it.

Have a little faith, i know people who've gotten it in there 2nd run before. And what do you mean it might not be worth it unless your doing 100 mobs an hour? The BoEs that drop go for 2k-11k on my server, and saying you do 25 mobs an hour by keeping 1 alive at times, i still say thats worth it for your net gain (without the chance of luck, just simple 2.5% mechanics) will be anywhere between 500g-2750g for my server.

I use this method of BoE farming ICC alot, it's easily done using a rogue, but I've used my mage, hunter and shaman aswell. Just want to point out, if you kill one mob and let the other reset...they respawn instantly. Just let it kill the gaurd.

You are absolutely right about the reseting thing, gets tedious though.

I wonder if you can do it as a rogue.. Guess I have to give it a try sometime soon.

Yes you can eithr by vanishing or you can goto dalaran and purchase a RC remote car, and use it while stealthed to aggro.

I tried this and i can never get them to attack different targets, and everytime i attack the main target i aggro the second one for no reason.

I just tested this, and it works wonderfully. You guys might also have forgotten to switch to ICC25 and do those runs between each reset as well. Getting up to 10 runs an hour...

I was able to do this as a ret paly by using hammer of justice on one mob then leaving the instance. Not the best saying you cant use divine storm and took me about 3 trys to get them to actually aggro.

as far as i know you cant, need a class that has some form of threat dump (vanish, ice block, feign death).

confirmed classes: hunter, mage, rogue.
doable classes: (theory but no confirmed) priest (fade), any night elf (shadowmeld), pally (bubble).
possible classes: warlock (soul shatter?)
