10 items that will make you gold when Cataclysm arrives.

So with the upcomming expansion I decided to start stockpiling certain good which I hope will help me make alot of gold when the expansion goes live.

Item price will vary by server but in general these tips should provide gold making opportunities across most servers.

Here are 10 items I believe are a good bet for making you gold when the expansion arrives:

1) Saronite Ore -
The main reason to start stocking up on saronite is Transmute Titanium. Alchemists will want fast skill ups before they can use the new cataclysm materials. There will be alot of new alchemists alts, especially goblins who have the alchemy racial.

2) Cobalt Bars -
Cobalt is going to be essential for engineering and blacksmithing leveling alts and with few people mining and creating bars of them price will rise fast.

3) Netherweave Bags -
The market for these will explode when all those new alts; goblins and worgens and the new race class combinations arrive.

4) Neatherweave cloth -
These will be used by new tailors and people leveling up first aid, resulting in strong demand coupled with less suply should see prices rising.

5) Pets -
There will be many changes to Azeroth when cataclysm arrives and it is possible that several vendor pets and rare drops could disappear from the game. Examples of pets that could dissappear are the black tabby cat or the ancona chicken. Pirces could rise very high.

6) Chest and weapon enchants for BOA Gear -
New alts wearing their BOA gear have no reason NOT to enchant it. Popular boa enchants include speed to boots, enchant chest health, enchant chest mana, firey weapon, crusader and weapon spell power.

7) Crystallized Water and Earth -
These are super cheap right now and are needed by engineers to level engineering into the cataclysm skill up range.

Mid level herbs -
Such as fadeleaf, briarthorn and blindweed will more than likely see a spike in price as well, more so on the horde side as the goblin racial bonus is alchemy, but could be applicable as well for alliance.

9) Mid level ores -
Such as silver, gold and truesilver. Rare ore veins are pretty hard to farm in abundance but all the ore based professions use these ores

10) Mid level gems -
Such as citrine and jade since most of the ore based professions use these and any new JC’s will be using these as well.

Hope these tips help; the principle being buy low now and sell high when cata comes out.

but lets think one step ahead
people will stack up things that are easy to find now . but who will stack up things that are already rare and soon will become your ace in your hands
lets think you have a :
1- new tailor - enchant
you will need lots of runecloth because you can craft items that give rarest enchanting skillup matts
2- new engineer (goblin i think)or BS or JC
you need methril and thorium more than anything else to pass that freaking skills
3- new lw
leathers from lvl40 to 60 moobs

but what really sells good is enchanting road matts - and anything that can save lots of time in skillups 9i bet you can sell lots of that formula of (i don't remember) road in moonglad

just think of what people wont think

Also valid points b3vad. There are certainly more than ten items that will make gold when Cataclysm arrives, such as mithril and thorium; i've picked out these ten items because I could think of good reasons why people would need them. Further suggestions are welcome!

If the revisited crafting system haven't been released yet in the cataclysm beta. The statements made here are uncertain.

You get more skillups from rarer items and material requirements reduced, new items will probably come aswell.

In the end we can't say until the new system is up for beta-testing.

what is the cost of netherwave cloth and bags on your realms? is 7g per stack and 10g per bag reasonable price atm for profit in cata?

yep seronite is going to be a nice price but mid lvl gems are going to go up more!

i think a big money maker come cataclysm is going to be Tome of polymorph turtle since ZG is getting taken out.
