Keep Your 70 Twink in Non-Twinked BG Bracket

I found this to be a common sense sort of thing which kept me from posting it here... but it occurred to me that some people might not know about it so... here we go.

In order to keep your 70 twink in the 70 bracket, you have to turn off your XP gain... this will pretty much place you in the twink bracket where you face off against players with similar twink gear. Every so often I'll see some mega twinks wander into a normal BG during holiday weekends at which point I rage, "I HOPE YOU LEVEL YOU DIRTY TWINK! YOU DON'T BELONG HERE!"

Anyway, you can keep your 70 twink in the non-twink bracket as long as you don't upgrade to WotLK. Depending on how much you enjoy annihilating non-twinked BGs, you can buy a WoW battlechest, upgrade to TBC expansion pack and queue up into normal BGs. This way you'll cap out XP at level 70 without having to fight other twinks by turning off XP.

To be honest, I was planning on buying a second account for just my banker alts, and Wotlk isn't need for level 1 alts to sit at AH so I might have to do this.

The same can be done with level 60s & a vanilla wow account. If you don't want to level 1-70 or spend the extra money on TBC, there's always the option of 60 twinking.

You pretty much never get level 70 xp turned off battlegrounds unless it is an organized event between horde and alliance guilds. I would know, I'm the guild leader of one of the biggest level 70 guilds.

Wait, so BGs rarely, if ever, pops if you have XP turned off?

That is so sad. Guess it's nearly mandatory to buy a new copy of WoW if you want to twink at 70 then.

Pretty much the only way to get an xp off game to pop at that high of a lvl is to organize a 10v10 wsg against another guild. Thats why most twinks migrated to each battlegroup specific for their bracket.

This doesnt work anymore, just a heads up to anyone who might consider purchasing another account. People without expansion and exp not turned off but capped by their current purchased content are treated as those with exp turned off, sadly.

Just a theory, if anyone of you has tried this.
Would it work to queue for a BG as (let's say) lvl 70, then bg pops, you turn off xp gain and join? That would probably put you in the non-twink BG while your still twinked out.
And then do same thing over and over. 50G isn't much nowadays.

    Anyone tried this out?

Am i the only one who think this is pretty obvious?

I have a lvl 60 twink on a vanilla account, there is always like 50% twinks in 55-60/60-65 bgs anyways.. or people who lvl with full pvp set/heirlooms.

If you are at max level for your current version of WoW, it places you in the XP OFF queue.

    BS

Furthermore, isnt 60/70/80 at the start of a bracket?
Doesn't that render it mostly useless?
