    Get Free Bags!

So iv been making a lot of chars across different realms. and when i have started i don't really want to go mining and all that stuff to get cash.
Asking random players for gold in citys will mostly only get you on ignore lists.
What do every player need? bags. thats right bags to keep all your loot and crap.
Iv found out that in 4 of 5 times this works.

So do /2 so you speak in trade. then ask something like this "Can anyone tell me where i can buy the normal bags? i cannot afford AH ones"
It does work if you just ask where you can buy bags aswell but a lot of people will just say ah. so use what i said.

Now wait 10-30 second and 1-3 people will contact you and tell them to come to them.
Then simply go up to them and say "?" they will most likely give you 4 netherweave bags as they are the most common. or they will give you gold.

Just thought i would share my experiences with you. If you already know this then there is no need to post it below as i werent talking to you. but the people who diden't know or is gratefull for people trying to contribute.

    Thanks

(i bet there is a lot of grammar and mistakes so be easy on me)

There's another guide I have spent a lot of time to make aswell! I will post it below

In the startingzone or nearby, there's generally at least one tailoring trainer, which can teach you this for the exchange of a couple of in-game currency, and a primary profession slot, which all characters have two of.

If you achieve high enough level by creating items, of cloth or leather you will be able to make bags! (!)

The cloth you need to sew things and achieve a more professional (see Journeyman, or Expert Tailoring) are dropped as loot in creature bodies on all humanoids accross the world... of Warcraft.

    Good luck!

Do you think it is badass to reply something silly to someones effort of contributing? Would you like it if I replied silly things when you try to contribute? These forums have become, or rather many members in it, some sort of place to grow your e-peen by being elitist and degrading. To some sorts of threads I can understand, but not like here where he actually found something he wanted to share. If you dont like it or think the idea is silly, dont reply. If you think its a repost, find the original thread and post a link. You were new here yourself just 2 years ago, you wouldnt it like if everyone went elitist on you then, would you?

+Repx5 to OP, I actually find it useful.

No. He is saying you should ask politely.
Most people wouldn't think this would work, but he is saying it does which is why this is a valid post.

you're indrectly asking them for bags, they don't know you're trying to mooch money/bags from them, but you just make yourself sound so innocent and polite, they just think "ahh what the hell why not" and give you the money, or again the bags. +rep to the OP

    EDIT:

Hmm..I don't know that I'd really call this a "guide". I think it's pretty much common sense -- exploit people's kindness and generosity by showing them that you could use a little help, and a few will bite.

Being polite and making it seem sincere when asking for stuffs will make you go far. Made a couple of low level alts in a new server and people gave me lots of stuff just because I greeted them first. Asked for a couple of gold in exchange for a few light leathers and they gave me 100g plus a few bags. Noone will give you gold if you just suddenly open the trade window with them and yelling "10G PLZZZZ. PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ"

While I do see why this would work, and be useful, I just cant find it in myself to rep a "how to beg like a pro" guide.

I hate beggars. Its so easy to make gold in this game >.<

Yes but if you don't got the time to run around mining copper + you also want bags when mining. 16 slots isen't much.
This isen't begging. You politely ask where you can buy something. and some people will buy it for you.

Thanks for the positive feedback guy's

I wouldnt think of this as begging. Rather asking for help, and there are helpful players out there who like to help new players out. It isnt about making gold, it is about getting bags when you start on a new server and probably only have a few silver coins. With this "method" (or what to call it) you dont ask for anything really, except the location where you can find bags. If a helpful players sees it and decides to send you a few bags, its his call. You arent running around begging players, you are simply stating that you exist and want some help starting out.

Every time I start out on a new server, I make a few gold signing charters (dont settle for less than 5, I've gotten as much as 80g to sign a charter) Then just play the ah a bit and you're good.

Signing charters is an exchange of services. I'm just not the kind of person who likes handouts. I earned everything I have. I have nothing against posting this. I mean I see why it works from a social engineering perspective, I just dont like begging, no matter how sneakily you do it.
