Yes it is a nice place to farm, but it would take forever to get 1000g
I farmed there for 3 whole days just to get the dragon pet, sold for 300g.
Sold a recipie for 50g and some greens for 3-4g.

i did go there on my hunter alt.. lvled up from 40 -43 there and none dropped.. so its a low droprate -_-

Exactly. I can get 1000g of the kabolds outside the human starter area. It will just take a long time.

Farming things that have such a low drop % is never a good idea, just not worth it.

this is more of a glide for me, i will glide this over night on my 70 and in the morning i make 300-400g depending on how "frisky" people are feeling

Lol nice find on your own. at lvl 1 in three hours i got 4 dark whelplings which at the time were about 400G on my serv, then when i nwas 55 price went down to 40G
didnt thinkm was worth nit anymore/

This is a helpful guide, but alas, the drop rate on the dark whelping is even less than .01% (hence why it goes for so much in the AH.) People who get it early on are very fortunate, for others, you could be grinding days, maybe even weeks.

There aren't many mobs in that area, and the respawn is kind of slow compared to other mobs, but nonetheless, a dark whelp pet is like the Ipod of non-combat pets.

Good place to glide for xp but not for money. The drop rate is like 1/1000 so you prolly wont get any. And most people arnt willing to pay that much for a whelpling... but good place for xp

its an exelent place for a hunter to glide becuase the whelps are casters and if you are beast mastery it works even better.
