[Guide] Rogue Mutilation PvE dps guide

Hey guys and girls of mmowned.com. Welcome to my Rogue *COMBAT* PvE dps guide for people new to rogues and people who generally want help with there DPS cycles.

    Contents:
    1. Spec/Gears
    2. Poisens
    3. Move Cycles
    5. Conclusion

Combat in everyones opinion is the only good rogue spec, providing quality dps, and a dps rotation that is not hard to follow if you know what to do. I have out dps'ed many rogues with higher GS then me in raids, heroics and general questing. The obvious but crucial point of the combat rogue is that you will be using sowrds, preferbly a high damage sword in main hand and the fastest sword you can find in the offhand. Lets now talk about the ideal spec for your *COMBAT* rogue : - >.

    1. Spec
This is the spec i use for my rogue. No justification needed, pretty cookie cutter stuff.

    http://www.wowarmory.com/character-t...nished&group=1

A 2.6 speed sword is not hard to come across, but a 1.5-1.4 is. I found a beautiful in the ah for 400 gold. Just ah 80-80 Swords and get the epic 1.5 speed sword. works a treat.

    2. Poisens
At 80, you will want rank IX Instantpoisen on your main hand, and IX Deady poisen on your offhand. Poisens will add atleast 500 dps.
    3. Move Cycles
Finally.... What fking moves to use mang!?!?!11

Trash mobs, 3 or less (single target dps):
    1. SINISTER STRIKE
    2. SLICE N DICE
    3. SINISTER STRIKE x 5 COMBO POINTS
    4. EVISCERATE
    5. Rince and repeat all steps
Its hard isn't it, and really enjoyable.

Thats why i don't play my rogue anymore

    AOE:
4 or more mobs, auto attack 1 and spam fan of knives.

    Conclusion:
In conclusion, i have made this guide to help out people who either don't know what spec to go, and want to try something new, for people who have just got to 80 and are looking for a good spec to use with swords, and for people who want to improve on there current combat dps rotations. I wish this guide to help you rogues in your future encounters.

    Thanks for your time guys,

    jpfru2.

Using rupture is a dps loss and your spec is not the best for raiding. Do not use this guide if you are looking to succeed in pve as a rogue.

As i have stated previously, i beat other rogues that outgear me by far on a regular basis. Please don't flame, i never said this was the best did i? i said its what i use, and i am sharing with people who either have no clue or want to improve/try new things. NN rand flame. Plus, you need rupture to or garrote to be able to use hunger of blood. Unless you have other bleeders in grp.

Opening with garrote is not such a good idea, and rupture got outdated when ToC was released.

it's spelled poison, and you should be using instant main hand, deadly offhand. Also, since the update to poison mechanics, you should try to maintain as much envenom uptime as possible to proc more instant poison. you do not out dps people who are not using rupture. it's impossible, so stop lying.

also, you shouldn't open with garrote in a raid setting, because you most definitely should have a feral rogue or warrior (or some other idiot rogue opening with garrote, like you do) putting a bleed on the target.

your "guide" is horrible. you'd be better off just copy pasting from EJ. Too bad their threads are too long and you'd actually have to read them first.

    good luck not sucking

    hmmm where to start.

the spec u linked is like some whack pvp spec. your other spec goes into improves bleed talents, but those are useless because you shouldnt ever be using a bleed. you also didnt spec into master poisoner, which is a significant dps loss. points in ToT is a waste. lightning reflexes is a must.

didnt include glyphs. and you SnD glyph is a waste...

    didnt include gems.

    instant mh, deadly oh

also, dont post a guide if you cant handle constructive criticism.

Mod close this thread, It is obvious out dated and flaming will continue to ensue.

But yes. you open with garrote.. IN HEROICS. If there is no warrior or feral druid. You DO NOT use rupture at all.

In heroics bosses die in 20 seconds so no need for HfB.
