KEEP the Frozen orbs

Hey again,

As everyone who visits mmowned daily has seen there are alot of posts atm about how to make money with the upcoming patch.

Everyone tells to go buy the orbs to use them to get mats from the vendor. Or to sell them now while prices go up.

But has anyone actually thought about what
the >orbs itself are needed for<

Every Jewelcrafter will still need the Frozen Orbs to do their daily craft for the prism !

Jewelcrafting

• Icy Prism now requires Frozen Orb, Chalcedony x 1 (Down from 3), Shadow Crystal x 1 (Down from 3), Dark Jade x 1 (Down from 3)

So every Jewelcrafter will want to buy an orb daily! Because they will have to. Many JC will use their orbs for Frost Lotus or other orbs etc, and will come to the conclusion :" oh shit, no orbs left for my daily craft"

Also:

! Leg Enchants !
- Earthen leg armor
- Frosthide leg armor
- Icescale leg armor
- Brilliant Spellthread
- Sapphire spellthread

...tom tom tom... go AH, find overpriced orbs... /buy cause:
- I want my craft for my chance on a epic gem.
- I need to make a leg enchant !

Dark, theirs not a lack of frozen orbs out their; it'd be insane to keep them. Just sold all of mine (bought at 9g /ea) sold now to 12g /ea. made like 1.2kg profit.

I bought them aswell for 9g a pop, sold them for 22g

Well I didnt, the things you guys point out to be useless here etc made me get 150KG through AH only that prolly why you are still happy with 3K gold.

On my server there were only 5 orbs left for a price of 35G/Ea

yes they will STILL need the orbs.... but if we can make more money by selling them for other purposes why not do it?

A lot of items requiring frozen orbs in their creation are having the rest of their materials scaled back to make them a more attractive option for people. I think he's saying that, as well as people right now are in a rush to gather up Orbs to use on the new trade-ins, when other professions are still going to be using said orbs. Instead of making a market on the items that are going to drop in price (like Frost Lotus right now on my realm took a big price hike, and is expected to flat line in the coming patch.) when patch hits, he's saying to save those orbs and sell them to people who are directly using them, such as JC's and LW/Tailors.

His layout and word choice just make it hard to see that.

Agreed. Icy Prisms need to be upgraded to the new Epic gems, kind of outdated.

Also OP,
The amount of money you can make now until the patch release will be much higher then the amount you would if you decided to save them. Right now the demand is so high for people that plan to stock up.. So, sell em' while you can!
