    WG defense strat GUIDE(alliance side)

    basic strategy guide on how to defend a wg successfully. (alliance side)
    hopfully this isnt a repost and sorry for my english mistakes.
    - i did not create this strat, it was just a strat i saw my server using and that it workd. thought i share with the people here.

    require: 39 pugs (full wg raid)
    friends perfer

    - start prepare around 15min before wg start to organise (spam dalaran trade and telling them to get to wg is a must).
    - a group of 3 to 5 players to stay at fortess at start and report on its progression. these players can move out later between them and sunkenring workshop (east)

    start your forces in the south-west and south-east workshop (very important). dead players from theres forces can choose to come rejoin new force or assist on the fortess defence. perfer defence

    perfer everyone wearing resil(pvp environment). but if not
    players with resil go to west and without go to east. (this is because west is closer to the horde starting zone). the fortress will be safe at the start. (achieve this by spaming trade and tell them the reason)

    battle start:
    shammys should heroism asap in this to give your team the edge to start the push(especially on the west side). when hords pour in. kill them collect HK and defend n catch the workshop.
    fight outside of the workshop(important) not inside it. push "north" the hord back, catch the workshops and get access to seige engines.
    if done correctly you should have 10 seige while hord has 1-2. use the seige to help push.

    now push north to broken temple workshop and sunken ring workshop and capture them or turtle there.

    try to turtle on the bridge if you have to and dont let ur main force get counter pushd. ideal way to push is to charge into them(u dont have to be a melee any range any class can do this aka pushing).

    when you push to the top two workshops and overrun them. theres a chance the bottom workshops you hold will now be under their control. if thats the cause defend the top two workshops.

    destroy any seige engine u encounter and wait for the wg timer to end
    meantime enjoy ur honor farming n hks


    sorry for the wall of text:
    summarise:
    1. prestart by spaming trade for people to get to wg in dalaran
    2. in wg, tell the players to leave the fortess(important tell them itll be safe), have resil players go to south-west workshop and none-resil to south-east. main force should be at south-west.
    3. when battle start capture the workshop(east, west), get seige engine and push up north.
    4. maintain the push to the toptwo workshop and capture them. and hold them there.
    5. keep spaming in trade for these instructions. u can also do it in raidchat and ask for leader if you like to lead it.
    6. if all is done successfully, u should win the wg by defense.
    7. gratz on everyone in the raid for a job welldone and people will give u respect.

    tried this today and it worked perfectly.
    -sorry there isnt a horde version yet. but someone can write one :P

    Well, that is actually how it should be done.

    Staying in the fortress trying to stamp them out won't usualy work for long.
    Just get a group infront of the gates, get workshops, get shops south, destroy towers.
    Keep eye on walls and defend them. Win.

    Thats how simple WG is and still people lose craicrai

    Nice, but people are usually too stupid to obey yet understand the tacs.. There are really handicapped people playing wow : S
    I've been trying to organize some tacs in WG aswell, but usually people just ignore them, sadly : /

    Call my stupid, but I didn't understand how this only works with alliance? Wintergrasp is the same for both factions lol?

    Horde spawn point is different to alliance, that's the difference, though it is generally the same.

    horde spawn start in the east.
    anyways i hope everyone like this guide.

    some of the things are basic but it works, before this i didnt really have a clue on how to successful defend wg.
