Battered Hilt Solo Farm as Ele. Shaman!

Hello everyone!

This is how to do Afker's guide (http://www.mmowned.com/forums/wow-gu...solo-farm.html) as an Elemental Shaman. I made it because I saw that there was no other guides on how to do this as a Shaman, and I believe Elemental is the best way to go if you want to Solo Farm Battered Hilt.

Shaman (ELEMENTAL):

1. Put out your totems including grounding totem.

2. Wait until the CD for grounding totem is off.

3. Run inn, put out an earthbind totem so they get rooted, then a Stoneclaw totem followed by a magma totem.

4. Let the first shadowbolt get absorbed by the Grounding Totem.
4,5. (try getting in a chain lighting at the skeletons.)

5. Wait until the Elite starts casting his second shadowbolt and do not interrupt it before the cast is almost complete.

6. Right after you have interupted the second shadowbolt put out the second Grounding Totem.

7. The elite will start to run after you, so Frost Shock kite him until he starts casting his third Shadowbolt.

8. This shadowbolt will get absorbed by the second Grounding Totem.

9. Your Wind Shock should be up when he is casting his 4th shadowbolt, do as you did the first time you interupted.

10. He will start running after you again, so frost shock kite him and put out the third Grounding Totem when it's up.

11. The skeletons should be dead by now. Go loot, Wind Shear him again when it's up and Ghost Wolf out with a combination of Swiftness Potion if you got it.

PS. it might be nice to bring a Mighty Shadow Protection Potion (Mighty Shadow Protection Potion - Item - World of Warcraft) just incase you get hit. It might raise the odds for you getting out alive.


Some talents you should've specced into for this method is:

Storm, earth and fire: (Storm, Earth and Fire - Spell - World of Warcraft) for root-effect on the Earthbind Totem. IMPORTANT!
Guardian Totems: (Guardian Totems - Spell - World of Warcraft) for a shorter CD on your Grounding Totem
Reverberation: (Reverberation - Spell - World of Warcraft) for a shorter CD on your Wind Shear ability.
Call of Flame: (Call of Flame - Spell - World of Warcraft) for 15% more damage on your Magma Totem.
Elemental Fury: (Elemental Fury - Spell - World of Warcraft) for 100% more Critical Strike Damage from your Magma Totem.
You can also put a few points into Earth's Grasp (Earth's Grasp - Spell - World of Warcraft) for more HP on your Stoneclaw and Improved Ghost Wolf (Improved Ghost Wolf - Spell - World of Warcraft) for instant Ghost Wolf.


If you want to have an even shorter CD on the Grounding Totem you can go for the 4 set bonus on resto PvP gear (Improved Grounding Totem - Spell - World of Warcraft), but you will then loose some damage from the magma totem and makes it not really worth it.

I think it's a nice post, and makes it easier to look up archive-wise. I doubt I would see this if it were made as a reply in the other thread. I happen to have a ele shammy, and will deffinately try this out

I tend to agree, for example he is his own method on a same subject. Calling this a rep farm is the same as calling someone a repfarmer if they post a slightly different but new auction house gold making method, simply because there are similar methods out there.

If he had said only for example:

Hunter:
1, Send in pet on elite and AoE adds and put an explosion trap before you for when they reach you, Feign Death and Dismiss or let pet die.
2, Use frost arrow and trap the elite then aoe adds and fd and no risk with your pet. (Thanks darkriderking for pointing that out)

Then it would be a different thing, but he took some effort and made a decent guide.

I just assumed it was alot easier to find this in a thread instead of having to look through hundreds of posts, that would be like looking for the needle in the haystack.

So no, I wont post this in the other thread. I wrote down the reference for it, and that should be enough IMO.

Ret pally is otherwise probably the easiest class to do it with.
Repentance the elite and kill of adds. on the packs futher in you're gona run past another elite on the ramp on your way back but just HoJ him while you run past
