Pukka's Addon Guide for New Starters!

Hey There MMOwned, First i would like to say thanks, thanks for having me back. I quit WoW about 8 months ago, only to find out it was a huge mistake. So here i am, ready to start helping out again!

    Source of Addons

Ok, first thing you need to establish is a good source for your addons, some like "Curse" and some like "WoW Matrix", But the absolute winner for me is "WoWInterface"

    WoWInterface

Its very easy top navigate, and its is organised like a champ, so its always easy to find exactly what you want!
Ofcourse WoWInterface is just a site, which means you will have to manually download and place your addons into your WoW directory manually, but with the variety that the site has got, that seems irrelivent to even bother about it!

    Updating your Addons

Again, you could use Curse or WoW Matrix, But i dont for the following reasons:

    - You have to pay to update your addons with curse
    - WoW Matrix seems to be falling behind and becoming usless.

I strongly reccomend you use a free program called "MMOUI Minion"

    MMOUI Minion

    The Addons

The list of addons i feel are essential to any new starter are as follows:

    -ArkInventory-
An amazing little addon that simply makes it much easier for you to manage your inventory. All of your bags are merged into one very managable bag for quick access to all of your inventory without having to search for ages!

    -Auctioneer Suite-
Essential if you want to start making serious money in WoW, Auctioneer will assist you in all aspects of the auction house, from buying at the right price, to selling at the right price. Remember, dont just throw YOUR junk away, Sell it!

    -BarKeep-
I personally dont really like the default WoW action bars, their too cluttered!. I reccomend you use barkeep, it will give you access to move, scale and change all of the bars in WoW, aswell as making them look good at the same time!

    -Gatherer-
Rather than looking endlessly for for mining vein, or your herbs, install Gatherer. It has a sleek HUD that will direct you to the nearest known spot for gathering no matter where you are. A must if you want to farm herbs ect for resale!

    -Postal-
If you sell alot of items on the AH like i do, you really dont want to have to spend 30 mins reading your post every day, If you install postal, all those worries dissapear. You can mass read your mail along with some other cool features, just to make your WoW life that little bit simpler!

    -QuestHelper-
Probably the best addon you can get for WoW, Questhelper eliminates endless searching for objectives by telling you exactly where you have to go, not only that, but it will tell you the quickest route in which to complete your quests!

    -RicoMinimap-
Not essential, but good to have. This addon simply takes your minimap and gives it a well deserved facelift, you can choose from many different styles aswell as a few other features!

    -Sell-O-Matic-
Its so frustrating searching through your inventory for all of that just so you can sell it to a vendor, simply eliminate the problem with Sell-O-Matic, it adds a little button to the vendor window which will sell all of your junk in one click!

    -XtoLevel-
Ever wanted to know how many Kills, BG's or Quests to complete before you reach your next level, XtoLevel tells you just that, along with how much rested XP you have and more, Essential if you want to make your life that one step simpler!

Thats my list, i really hope this helps you guys out, If there are any additions or tips you would like me to add, please feel free to PM me!

    All the Best
    Pukka
