[Guide] DPS Rotation for ALL CLASSES!

Hello MMOwned,

Welcome to my guide on DPS Rotations for every class. I put alot of work into this guide and it is not designed to give you the best possible dps output, just a basic rotation to start.

1.1: Death Knight -
1.2: Paladin -
1.3: Warlock -
1.4: Warrior -
1.5: Druid - Balance
1.6: Shaman -
1.7: Priest -
1.8: Hunter -
1.9: Mage -
2.0: Rogue -
2.1: Druid - Feral ( +Rep jpte for this one =])






1.1: Lets Start with the Death Knight Class, this rotation is easy after a little practice. this is for blood spec.

PlagueStrike>IcyTouch>HeartStrikex2>DeathStrike>DeathCoil (until DeathStrike cooldown up)> DeathStrike> HeartStrikex4




1.2: Next up, the retribution paladin.

Judgement > CrusaderStrike > Consecration > DivineStorm > Exorcism > Holy Wrath



1.3: Aha, the Warlock. A good DPS Class. Destruction Spec. This may not be the perfect rotation but it should perform well

<The Rotation is>

CurseofElements>Immolate>Conflagorate>ChaosBolt>Incinerate
Now the hard part, Spam Incinerate until Conflagorate is up and Use it whenever its cooldown is finished, also remember to keep immolate up.





1.4 Ah, the warrior class. Arms Spec

<The Rotation is>

Not really much of a rotation here, just keep rend up and Overpower,Execute and MortalStrike whenever possible
When you find yourself with not enought rage to MortalStrike then spam Slam until you do.



1.5 Druid, never played druid so this is the best i can do,



<The Rotation is>


InsectSwarm>MoonFire>Wrath continue Wrath until Eclipse buff >Starfire> continue starfire until eclipse is done. repeat.



1.6 Ele shaman. This is the best rotation i could find :S

FlameShock>LavaBurst>LightningBolt>LightningBolt>LightningBolt>LightningBolt>Lav aBurst
>LightningBolt>LightningBolt>Lightning>Bolt>LightningBolt


1.7 Shadow Priest, again I have never played this class but heres my best try,

VampricTouch>ShadowWord:Pain>DevouringPlague>MindBlast>ShadowWordeath>Spam MindFlay. Reapply DoTs when Shadow Weaving is at 5 stacks.


1.8 Survival Hunter Recommended Pet: raptor/Wolf.

<The Rotation is>


Serpent Sting --> Black Arrow --> Explosive Shot --> Steady Shot --> Steady Shot --> Steady Shot Then repeat from explosive. Use Black Arrow as soons as cd is done and reapply Serpent Sting when it's needed. Kill shot is prio one when hes under 20% health.

When Lock and Load procs i use Explosive Shot --> Steady Shot --> Explosive Shot --> Steady Shot --> Explosive Shot --> Steady Shot Then continue with the normal rotation.


1.9 Arcane Mage. nuff said.

ArcaneBlast>ArcaneBlast>ArcaneBlast>ArcaneBlast> Now, if MissileBarrage procs, then you cast ArcaneMissiles
if MissileBarrage DOESN'T proc, then keep casting ArcaneBlast until it does, then you cast ArcaneMissiles.


2.0 Combat rogue

<The Rotation is>

SinisterStrike until 3 combo points>SliceandDice>SinisterStrike to 5 combo points>Rupture. Repeat this and use eviscerate if you have any combo points spare.


2.1 Feral Dr00d

<The Rotation is>

As there is no real rotation, we speak of a "priority list" for cat DPS. Try to follow the following instructions in the given order.

1. Keep up Savage Roar
2. Keep up Mangle
3. Keep up Rake
4. Use shred for Combo Point regeneration
5. When at 5 CP and Rip is not up, use Rip
6. When below 30 Energy, use Tigers Fury
7. Use Clearcast Proccs for Shred
8. When at 5 CP and Rip and Savage Roar are running with 8 seconds (might be longer, depending on your gear) or longer each, use Ferocious Bite.
9. When Rip and Savage Roar will drop at nearly the same time (with less than 3 seconds difference), try to recognize it early. Then use SR with a small amount of CP to desynchronize both timers.
10. Use Berserk only at high energy, (but not higher than 85) not directly after TF and as often as possible. If you will get Hysteria or some boss mechanics will enhance your damage, save it for these situations.




Well I do belive that this concludes my DPS Rotations guide and I would just like to give credit to whoever i got these rotations from, they were from various places, Youtube, Google Searches, Wiki (used to translate abreviations) so i give full credit to them.

Since alot of what i have done is wrong I will add quotes from peoples posts to correct the guide;

Shadow Priest:

"Shadow Priest priority goes more like;
VT > DP > MB
MF to fill the gaps
SWD when a dot is about to fall off/something comes off CD (not enough time for a MF)

To start it off go;
VT > DP > MB > MF (All 3 ticks) then apply SWP (only after 5xShadow Weaving)"

Retribution Paladin:

Scenario; Your a paladin. DPSing. You're not using a seal. You get laughed at. SEALS. USE THEM.

Seal of Righteousness; A single target that will last under 20 seconds.
Seal of Command; Multiple targets.
Seal of Vengeance/Corruption; Bosses or big targets.



"Judgement of MANA (PvE, Dungeons. Light is for solo'ing. Justice for PvP), Consecration, Crusader Strike, WHEN Art of War procs; Exorcism, Divine Storm, IF the targets are undead; Holy Wrath. Oh and how could I forget, Hammer of Wrath, If you can use it. USE IT."




Elemental Shaman.
i find shaman wrong too...

Should be : flame shock, lave burst, chain lightning, the lightning bolt til lave burst cd is gone.
Combat Rogue:
Should Be:

1xSinister Strike -> Slice and Dice -> SS to 5 CP -> Rupture. Repeat, and evis if you have extra TIME (not extra CP) after reapply SnD.


For the actual top DPS rotation (not including KS, BF, AR):

Begin:
A) 1xSinister Strike -> Slice and Dice ->
B) SS to 5 CP -> Rupture ->
C) IF you have 1 CB from Ruthlessness, then 1xSS -> Evis -> 1CP (Either from Ruthlessness or 1xSS) -> SnD. Rinse and Repeat from B.
D) ELSE, 1xSS -> SnD, -> 1xSS -> Evis. Rinse and Repeat from B.


Druid:


I use IS, Wrath, Moonfire, Starfire and Starfall for max dps. IT's so you can get some big hits on him first up and increase chance of Eclipse.

Example:

2.0 Combat rogue

Even so, you only did single spec rotations, not multi viable raid spec's.

Sorry, as i said all criticism is welcome. All i aimed to do here was give a sort of basic rotation for beginners to raiding and an idea of the best current dps spec for that class.

as for the rogue being wrong, i apologise as I have never played the class and just got the rotation from youtube.

If you used that pet/rotation then you truly would be a Huntard.

As tray said, most rotations are just wrong. You never included Bladestorm in the warrior rotation or even mentioned it, and Heroic strike is a better rage dump then slam as it does not reset your swing.

For hunters there is no rotation, its a bunch of shots based off damage and effectiveness, and hunters for all specs but BM want a wolf for pve due to the Furious Howl (320 ap for 20seconds on a 40second CD)

Your general cookie cutter survival dps priority is:

1)Rapid Fire(since its a 5min CD and you wnat it up as much as possible)
2)Kill Shot(High amount of damage for a 9second CD)
3)Explosive Shot(Short CD lots of pewpew)
4)Black Arrow(keeps up lock and load procs) you can also go with say Explosive trap since it takes the CD of black arrow but its more affective on fights like Faction Champions
5)Serpent Sting(Decent damage along with the 3% increased damage if speced into Noxious Stings - Spell - World of Warcraft)
6)Aimed Shot(O.K damage longer CD)
7)Steady Shot(A filler for when ever you have all your debuffs on the mob/boss and everything is on CD)

As tray said, most rotations are just wrong. You never included Bladestorm in the warrior rotation or even mentioned it, and Heroic strike is a better rage dump then slam as it does not reset your swing.

Actually, Slam does not reset your swing timer (anymore). It now pauses the timer instead, making Slam quite decent.

JoM > Consecration > Crusader Strike > (AoW) Exorcism > Divine Storm > (Undead) Holy Wrath.

That's your opening type thing, after that. Assuming Consecration is up.

Refreshing Consecration everytime. As soon as a target is under 20% Hammer of Wrath.
