Make Gold With COD

How this work:
You want to focus on an item to sell in the AH. You spam in trade channel what you want to buy. But what you do is that you only accept COD. That way, you have two days to see if the prices goes up or down and you can make a deal that way. In case it's keep dropping, don't worry. Because you haven't take the mail yet and therefor haven't paid. I have seen stuff go from 13g to 16g the other day.

What can help you track:
WoWEcon. An online AH price database for every server in World of Warcraft. They also has a chart that shows you how the item have behave in the last 7,14, 30, 60 or 90 days.
Auctioneer - Addons - Curse. An AddOn if you scan everyday shows you what the prices for a specific item cost. Also has a lot of other features, but that won't be discussed here.
Market Watcher - Addons - Curse. A beautiful looking Market Watcher that shows a chart for the items you want to search for. It's like ingame AddOn for wowecon.

I hope you can use this to something! Have made me some extra gold a week or fill for the repairs, flasks, sockets etc.

May I just add that if people ask you why can't they just trade it to you now.
All you say is I don't have enough gold to pay for it now but I have several auctions out. 
Then again if price goes down, don't pay and use the I didnt get enough gold to pay for it excuse.

Hehe, I've done this one on a few epic recipes from ToC 25m, got 9 recipes but only accepted 2, the others who replied, all of them did, I told my gamecard time just ran out.
A tip, stay in any town where people usually don't go (Silvermoon city, Darnassus etc)

I remember myself thinking of doing exactly this but it almost never seemed to work.
From my experience of doing this, When they see you going like "WTB Cardinal Ruby ..." they assume that you have checked AH price and don't go themselves to see if its on cheaper. Also if they check, they get very sucipious.
I have heared/read that this is infact scamming and if people see you already posted auctions they will most likely start QQing in whisper / trade channel / Gm tickets.
Also 3 days later when the COD is returned they will whisper you:
"OMG NOOB WTF SCAMMER OMG OMGOMOGM You made me waste tons of gold FUFUFUFU"
If you really do this, Announce it on an bank alt you don't care about.

This is nowhere near scamming. Perfectly legal. It's just a small trick.
