74-77+ Very nice grind spot (400-800k)

Hey all,

I found a pretty nice grinding spot today by accident.
I was going this quest line: Betrayal - Quest - World of Warcraft
In the end of the quest line u have to kill Drakaru on top of this building.
So i did that and then i went to look for my way out were accidently found a spot where 3 mobs keep on spawning after u killed them.

NOTE: I was rested so thats why i made the 800k , would prolly have made it to 1million xp/hr if i kept going

This first screenshot is me there after 10mins of grinding where i am on 700k xp/hr


On the screenshot u can see 3 spawn points
Spawnpoint 2 and 3 will always come for you.
Spawnpoint 1 sometimes walked in range for my Frost strike , or else i would just Deathgrip him to me if it was off CD

Im not sure how good this is for other classes but for a DK(i was bloodspec) this really has to be the best grind spot for the lvl 74-78 range

In this 2nd screenshot im there for 25minutes and dinged.
I then stopped grinding to made this post but i would most likely have made it to 1million xp/hr if i kept going for another 35minutes



The only downside about this spot is that it is very hard to loot as the mobs keep on spawning.
Also i dont think that u can go back to that place , once u left it
So you have to stay there.

Hope its usefull for some people and please let me know if it was succesfull for any other classes

Location is: 28, 44 in Voltarus above the flying Scourge ship
- You don't need to be on the quest, or have ever picked it up or done it before. You can just fly up there and pick any of the groups of 3 geists and start going to town.

The other downside is you take AOE damage when the event starts so you either need to be able to out heal the 1200 or so dps or die

As for the event , been grinding there for some time now and noone have come by :P
My grind session before the 1 in the screenshots was like 1-2hrs and noone showed up

(28, 44) in Voltarus above the flying Scourge ship. There is a few spots of 3 extremely fast respawning each. Pick one. Grind. K go.

If there's one thing I cannot stand on MMOwned it is the handful of people that are way too quick to blurt out "repost", and if there's one thing I can't stand just as much, it's the others that are too quick to assume without testing it on their own first. So, I've done that part for them to back up the OP. He is absolutely correct that this place has instant respawns, and when I say instant, I mean too fast to actually loot the mobs (as he has pointed out). However I would like to point out a few more things and clarify:

- You don't need to be on the quest, or have ever picked it up or done it before. You can just fly up there and pick any of the groups of 3 geists and start going to town.

- This is probably the best spot I've heard of which allows you to mindlessly single pull (while watching TV etc). If you choose to single pull these mobs, you may loot them safely.

- They are not chained together. I was able to pull them plenty of times while they were standing on top of one another and only one would come. This is awesome for me when I just want to alt-tab, kill one thing, loot it and then alt-tab again if I need to.

- If you're fast enough, and you play a class that can take that kind of constant damage as they respawn, then by all means, go for more exp/hr. I just wanted to add on to the OP and point out that single pulling is awesome there.

I'm including a SS as proof that this guy's spot is not "fixed" in any way. Also, I'd love for people to actually search for the repost before opening their mouths. It could be a respost, I wouldn't know. However, I'm not the one that called him out on it, so that's not my job to find out.

One extra thing I will note and didn't have time to come back and add last night is that about an hour into it I all of a sudden realized someone was trying to do the drakkuru event on the platform. Ha, I promptly started to receive the massive damage from the blight frogs or whatever and then you are also put into combat with drakkuru himself. So I did the right thing and ganked the guy doing the quest. And for those that have never done that quest...you'd probably nerd rage too if someone ganks you at around 10% of drakkuru's HP After three attempts, he didn't come back and it was back to the grind.

hehe ya that is indeed the 1 big down side to this trick
but so far i have not seen anyone doing the quest
