/console SpellEffectLevel 5000

Typing that into your chat will set the spell level REALLY high, and make your spells (Blizzard and RoF, namely) look cooler. I haven't tested it with other spells, so I don't know how this will effect them.

Careful though, I wouldn't start with 5000, my computer nearly froze.

Blizzard set to 1000.

Inversely, you can use this to reduce lag in raids, etc. by turning it waay down. Though you might not be able to see bad AoE crap anymore, so, use at your own discretion.

I run perfect with 5k and casting hurricane in Orgrimmar, but it'd be a living pain in any instance ;P
8GB ram and awesome graphic card though.
