Since there is already a very good Inscription guide, i am gonna post about Leatherworking, since there are many of those out there. I am gonna warn you straight away, you are not going to become a billionaire, or make 3k gold every day, but you WILL be able to afford your raiding and pvp expenses (enchants, repairs, flasks, etc.) WITHOUT having to farm. With this i have personally made 4k-5k a week.

Addons: (Those are NOT essential but significantly ease the process)
*Auctioneer, Batch Posting with one click
*Skillet, Making craft queues to ease the process of crafting

For this tactic you will have to use A LOT of leather (duh), so try to get a leather suplier who will send you few stacks of borean leather a day for 80% or so of the AH price, the less you pay for raw mats, the more you profit.
Leather Transmformations :
The following are what works best for me.
Ruined Leather Scraps to Light Leather. 900% Profit on my server!
Knothide Leather Scraps to Knothide Leather. 40% Profit.
Knothide Leather to Heavy Knothide Leather. 100% Profit.
Borean Leather Scraps (YES! the ones anyone can right click) to Borean Leather.80%
Borean Leather into Heavy Borean Leather. 60-90% Depending on day. This one made a killing in the first few months of Wrath.
Ideally you want to sell any of the lower level leathers ( Light, Knothide, Heavy Knothide) about 20 of each a day, selling in singles has worked best for me, and i settled on number 20 as it worked best for me, you might have to juggle with the numbers yourself, and ofc only craft the profitable ones.
Genereally it is pretty self-explanatory that ideally you want to buy as many Borean Scraps, and make them into Borean Leather and then into Heavy for maximum profit, but try to sell each one, and not just concentrate on Heavy, by selling normal as well as heavy you will ake more money, as demand on a single item is limited so try to spread your markets.
Armor Kits:
Most LW when they get to 430-450 range try to make money crafting epic Armor Kits like Earthen, Frosthide, Icescale, but due to high competition and scrubds who farm the mats themselves and think that they got them for free most LWs fail to make money.
For me BY FAR the biggest money maker is crafting Heavy Borean Armor Kits and selling them for about 100% profit (15g mats, sell them 30g) undercutting everyone. To make the most out of this, you have to get borean leather, and convert into Heavy yourself and then craft the kits yourself, (that's why it's great to have a Borean Leather Supplier).
Borean Armor Kits sell like candys and are normally anywhere in between 60%-120% profit range.
BLue Armor Kits liek Jormuglar and Nerubian also sell, but not that well , usually sell 1-2 of those every 2 days, for about 40% profit, but sometimes their price just dies, so I stopped dealing wioth them.
Misc:
Whenever I can grab the mats i craft Deviate Scale Belt for the twinks, it sells for about 150g on my server, but the mats are not always available.
Purple ilvl200 items sell ok, but only with about 10% profit, I don't like crafting those, because the demand isnt great especially with patch 3.2 WoW's benefit system outweighs those.
Also I have recently found out about Salt Shaker (LW only item) that is used to refine Deeprock Salt needed for Cured Rugged Hide, which is used in a lot of LW recipes for leveling. It used to have a cooldown but now it's removed and you can use it to either refine salt and sell it, or refine it and craft the hides and sell.
Also If you have a Ulduar BoE Pattern then you should spam in trade, and post on your realm forums that you can craft it, don't make it yourself and post it on AH, (cause it might not sell) but instead you will get a free 100g every time someone wants to spend a few runed orbs.

This is my first guide, it is aimed to help Leatherworkers who struggle to make money, I will update it when I think of something i missed out or just to make it look better. Please comment, I hope this helps someone, + rep would be nice.
