Today I was all excited because I got my second part of tier 9, went to a dummy to test out the bonus, to my dissapointed surprise it is not working. Talked to a GM who confirmed it was not working and said they were going to fix it in a future patch, I asked him how recent but he said he wasn't allowed to say.

So for all you retpala's out there who's thinking about what to buy for your emblems, don't buy tier 9 because of the bonus.

...Wow, you're that blind to what hes saying? He means that if you just want it for the bonus don't bother, not that the stats aren't worth it. Plus, you may get it for the set bonus instead of a bigger upgrade in a different slot.

That's exactly what I was saying lulzi, and there are better items in those slots if you disregard the set bonuses. Also I was using the T9 version not T9.5 so it wasn't that big of an upgrade.

The 2pc RV Crit bonus is being fixed in 3.2.2, and has been as such on the test realm. It's currently live at about a 4% crit chance, which is garbage. On the PTR it correctly scales with the player's crit chance, which brings it to about a 3% DPS increase, which is the best 2pc bonus for us in Wrath so far. It would be a terrible idea to pass it up after 3.2.2, and if you have the means to buy it now, you might as well, because you'll want to have it when 3.2.2 rolls out.

T9 is of course better than all previous gear, because of a great 2pc and a huge itemlevel jump (from 226 to 258?!). Time will tell if the 4pc is better or worse than offset gear, but equipping 2pc T9 is a must.

Maths:
RV damage average: 7% of our total dps
Average critrate in a raid: 45%
(45*7)% = 3.15

2pc: Allowing RV ticks to crit results in a ~3% dps boost, which is by far the best 2pc we have had so far. As is the case with most wrath sets, this scales with your gear (as more STR increases the dot strength, and more crit means it will crit more often). Expect to see this used everywhere, in both pve and pvp.

Buying T9 gloves anyways, don't really care for the set bonus atm since i got heroes gloves :P Thanks for the info anyways, didn't know this.

Think you're being smart now, eh? Well there are two major points you are very wrong at. You do actually get the two BiS T9 items for the setbonus, and getting more is barely worth it depending on if you go all plate or leather/plate. And also, some people went ahead and bought the 232 version of the T9 set, just to get the two piece set bonus as fast as they could, and those items are so little of an upgrade stat-wise that the four piece bonus would give a higher increase (No, the +8 strength and a few differences in haste/hit/expertise/crit is not better than 10% crit chance on Divine Storm and Crusader Strike). If you already got two 245 pieces, you may aswell keep them because of the fair stat jump.

Oh, and "Ret-ard" ... seriously man, that makes no sense. I presume you were trying to go for "Ret-tard" or something.
