Blacksmith Your Way to Shards and Easy Friend Or Fowl.

Since the release of 3.2, we have all seen Titanium ore skyrocket in price, and have (for the most part) seen Saronite ore drop to all new lows. For those out there with Blacksmithing/Enchanting (or who just know someone that can do one or the other) here is a quick way to get some Dream Shards.

All it requires is you making the following item which has a 100% chance on D/e to make a dream shard.

Saronite Bulwark

Now while you may not make profit off this (only in rare cases is saronite cheap enough on my server to make a profit), it is an easy way to get all the shards you need to buy your enchants from the vendor in Dalaran. Also, it is a good way to get rid of all the excess saronite you may have from farming titanium ore.


The below, I know, is a repost, but it hasn't been up in a long time as far as I have seen, and just wanted to bring it to everyone's attention again.

If you are anything like me, you are an achievement whore. I spent too much time in Valgarde trying to get the "Friend Or Fowl" achievement, only to kill my last turkey about .1 second too late. This makes for a very easy achievement on all your alts, as opposed to running all over the place looking for these turkeys.

Go to 69,64 in the Howling Fjord, at athe crossroads there is an overturned cart that has baskets and wicker cages around it, and a whole lot of turkeys.



And there you go, easy achievement out of the way, just a couple hundred more to go.

There is no difference whether you craft this shield or buy the shards. The price is the same. So no profit here. This is just a simple "craft this, disenchant it and here you go". That's not really a guide.

And where did you get this map? There are so many things missing or just wrong Oo
Aside from that, the achievement thing is obvious. Everybody who has done some quests there knows about this place. Or they can just go and read the wowhead comments. Takes less time than searching for this on MMOwned.

The map was the original map that was released way back when WoTLK was still in development.

(Also possible that it was one of those fanmade maps, since there were quite a few of those in circulation also)

Generally, I do not buy the saronite, but as it is so hard to sell on my server due to the overwhelming supply, I find it more profitable and better for my enchanting to craft/de. Thats all. Just a thought for those who (like me) are constantly undercut with their ore and/or want to do something with that ore.
