Takk The Leaper: Hunter Fun!

What you will need for this to work is a level 19+ hunter or a friend with a hunter. Now It's preferred to have a lower level hunter for the level in the name however I have gotten this to work amazingly well on my 80 hunter also.


Tame a raptor with the same shade as Takk The Leaper: Tons of these can be found all over the game just pick a spot and tame. High level hunters can go to Ungoro and tame one of the larger ones so the scale looks the same.


Now as many of you know the raptor areas are being farmed like crazy. 99.9999% of people have macros like /target leap or /target Takk etc. Due to this being in the barrens there are a lot of low level horde alts camping out this area along with a few high level alliance and horde.


How I got this to work is like this.


1. Tame the raptor of your choice.

2. Rename him Takktheleap (That is all that will fit, However this contains most of the words people use in their macro to find him).

3. Put the hunter behind a tree or somewhere out of sight of other players.

4. Use eyes of the beast and take control of your raptor.

5. Enable PvP.

6. Now click / to enable your slow walk and start to pat back and forth.

7. Within 5min I had killed 3 horde who attacked my pet thinking it was Takk.


Most people are is a rush to get the target as fast as they can. I have only had 2-3 horde stop and walk away out of the dozens I have killed so far. This clears up the area a little and is something to pass the time.

Me and my pal did this in Trial of the Nubs, where orcs and trolls spawn. He tamed a boar, named it to like "Hitmeforgold", Shadowmelded and got the noobs who hit it pvp flagged lol.


This can be a bit hard now when the hunter pets automatically gets 5 (?) levels below your own, so it would be 75 if you tame him at 80

I had a similar idea, but even more abnormal. To tame rare pet and to run with it round a spawn-point. It forced farmers with ESN_Rare addon to go mad
But it was a pity to lose 1к+ gold. Which I can receive from a raptor
