Echeyakee is one of only two White lions in the game which are Tameable.
As an alliance hunter, it is exceedingly difficult to get hold of him as he can
only be spawned by a Horde Quest Line. Fortunatley I have come across a
cunning plan to tame him, and I have screenshots to prove its success!
While there may be several strategies out there for obtaining this pet, this is
one I used, and the one I found to be the most entertaining to say the least.
So without further a do, Enjoy the guide.
The Original Idea came from "jhorowitz55" on WoWHead at:
WoWHead - Echeyakee
I am merley making a guide based on his idea.
Step One:
Either hop on a boat to the Ratchet from Booty Bay or run from Darkshore to
the Barrens. I used the Boat from Booty Bay... ah what beautiful scenery...
Before leaving, be sure to stop at your local stable to house your current pet,
unless you plan on abandoning him.
Step Two:
You're Heading to the Coordinates 55,17 in the Barrens where you will find the
remains of a giant dead "something"... perhaps a Kodo. This is where the horde
summon Echeyakee in order to kill him for a quest.
Step Three:
Upon arrival at the summoning spot, tame yourself one of the nearby Savannah
Huntress. Once tamed rename it to "Huntress" or "Prowler" or something along the
lines of that.
Step Four:
Enter Eyes of the beast and move your pet near the dead animal where Echeyakee
will be spawned. Tell it to "Stay" and put it in stealth.
Step Five:
Activate "Shadowmeld" behind the nearby Tree... and lie in wait. Patience is a virtue
my friends.
Step Six:
It took a mere 4 minutes for an unsuspecting hordie to show up, upon arrival, deactivate
the stealth on your pet, but only after he has summoned Echeyakee. The Horde
(If he is stupid enough) will attack your pet thinking it is one of the nearby mobs,
thereby activating the PVP flag. Kill him because he is a moron.
Step Seven:
Abandon your Huntress.
Tame Echeyakee.
Enjoy your New rare pet
