First of all, download these two addons to ensure those scroll are worth selling on your server:
- LilSparky's Workshop - Addons - Curse
- Auctioneer - Addons - Curse
To check if it's worth crafting, scan the auction house with auctioneer then open your tradeskill window (enchanting in this case). Here's how it looks like:
On the picture you see that "Bracers - Striking" costs ~24g to craft and sells for ~95g. Which is really profitable. Don't bother crafting enchants (or items, with other professions) that cost more than half the price you can sell it for.
Below are the most profitable enchants to sell on the auction house (using weapon/armor vellums III), keep in mind that it can greatly vary depending on the server:
- Enchant Bracers - Striking - Spell - World of Warcraft
- Enchant Staff - Spellpower - Spell - World of Warcraft
- Enchant Weapon - Exceptional Spellpower - Spell - World of Warcraft
- Enchant Gloves - Gatherer - Spell - World of Warcraft
- Enchant Bracers - Greater Spellpower - Spell - World of Warcraft
- Enchant Gloves - Greater Assault - Spell - World of Warcraft
- Enchant Weapon - Greater Potency - Spell - World of Warcraft
- Enchant Boots - Assault - Spell - World of Warcraft
- Enchant Chest - Super Stats - Spell - World of Warcraft
- Enchant Cloak - Shadow Armor - Spell - World of Warcraft
As you can see, those are all low-cost (and mid-grade) enchants. Most players who need the best enchants mostly know an enchanter, or the mats are provided by their guild. So it's those mid-grade enchants that you will sell the most easily. The only exception in this list is "Enchant Cloak - Shadow Armor". It costs a bit more to make (1 abyss / 12 dusts), but sells for 300-380g on my server.
Note for LilSparky's Workshop: double check the enchants that require Lesser Cosmic Essences, since the crafting cost will be based on the price of lesser essences instead of greater ones (1 greater is much cheaper than 3 lesser on the auction house, usually).
Once again, the profit varies a LOT from server to server. On mine the "scroll business" is quite inexistant, most scrolls I see on the ah are from people who crafted them to skill up. There is of course the regular scroll seller who will try to screw you, but since there is a huge profit margin on those you can safely undercut by a lot (20-30%).
To make the profit even bigger, don't buy the enchanting mats and follow the other guides in this forum! (example: buy cheap saronite ore, prospect, craft the crappy rings/necks and disenchant them)
Enjoy!~
