I guess this belongs in the scam section, but I cant make threads there so...
Anyways, the only one who u take gold from, are the GM's... so u don't hurt anyone with it at least :P
I have no clue whether this have been posted before or not, it seems like its nothing more than common sense.
Scammed people seem to get their money back if its true that they have really been scammed, so this idea suddenly popped in my head.
This is only a theory and nothing more than a simple idea.
What do you need:
-An account with (alot) of gold
-Some kind of proxy (so u get another IP address)
-Paypal account
-A new classic wow account/scammed account
It's really simple ->
After logging out (shutting down the game), wait a few hours.
Then you get on your proxy and get on your own account and send all of your gold to the new wow account.
You might even want to sell some of your gear (which you dont need and don't care about whether they get reimbursed or not).
You can just mail the gold to the character on the new account.
After that you sell the gold to your local goldseller/buyer.
Now, turn off WoW and turn off your proxy.
After a few hours, login in WoW again, and tell your guildies someone hacked you and you lost all your gold.
Just seem upset :>
Now simply make a ticket to the GM saying you lost your gold/gearpieces, and an estimate of what and how much you lost.
Also say you scanned your computer, and got the latest anti-virus etc.
The GM will look in his logs and see what happened ->
Someone apparently logged on from another IP, sent your gold to another account and now its gone.
If you don't have alot of offences or warnings on your account, your gold and items will be reimbursed (that my experience from people that got hacked at least).
You just sold all of your gold (got a nice profit :>) and even got it back, talk about win/win!
Anyways, as I said before, this is just an idea and hasn't been tried out by me.
If you have any comments or opinions on this, just post :P
