Priest PvP Guide

Much people thinks that Priest sucks in PvP cause they only need to heal. But if you think that, your wrong. Shadow Priest can do much dps!

Ok, Now lets explain how you can PvP as a Shadow Priest.

1. Talents


This is a good Shadow Priest PvP Spec. 10/0/51

2. Skills

1. Open with a Mind Blast.
2. Use a Shadow Word : Death instantly after Mind Blast is casted.
3. Now your opponent is at you, Now you need to use Psychic Scream, to fear your opponent away.
4. Cast a Vampiric Touch
5. Instantly after Vampiric Touch Use Shadow Word: Pain and/or Devouring Plague
6. If your opponent is still not dead, use a Mind Blast again and after instantly a Mind Flay

Pro's And Cons

Pro's:

- Much DPS, whit your instants , casts and cruses
- Can heal too
- No long cooldowns
- AoE fear

Cons:

- When u use a holy spell, u need to get back in shadowform
- Your fast targeted at BG's cause escaping is a bit difficult
- Low HP

Skill Legend:
= Shadow Word: Pain
= Mind Blast
= Pyschic Scream
= Devouring Plague
= Shadow Word: Death
= Mind Flay
= Vampiric Touch

Buffs:

Try to keep this all up:

= Power Word: Shield
= Inner Fire
= Holy Nova
= Power Word: Fortitude
= Divine Spirit
= Fear Ward

When almost dead, keep spamming Holy Nova!

I actually play a spriest in pvp with a rogue we are at 2152 I just like to say your spec is way off and much of this is common knowledge

Are you kidding? Open with MB?! MB+SW is used to kill target,not to make some shitty burst in start. Man, you're DoT class. You open with VT+SW:P, place DP->fear->MB+SW->MF->MF->Horror->MB->Recast DoTs. That's how usually i win.
Third:

When almost dead, keep spamming Holy Nova!

Eek... CC your enemy and cast PoM+Renew. Holy Nova is burning your mana and can help only vs rogues.
Keeping Fear Ward up? Good idea vs warlock, but mage will steal it,priest dispel. Loosing GCD for dispeled buff - doesnt worth it.

Cons:
All your dots can be dispelled without an affliction lock, making afflic/spriest the only really viable combo for shadow priests.

Considering half the talents in the talent tree you posted don't even exist anymore, you don't even play a sp.

If your gonn Copy and paste stolen information from the internet. a) make sure it's up to date, and b) give credit (there is no harm in sharing it as long as you say where it's from)

That could be a good setup year ago in TBC. In theory even now it's a good DoT team but because of "No-burst" mode you cant go really high. Rogue is the only good what do we have atm. Rogue/Retri/Boomkin are viable for us in 2's.

And we have DoT protection xD - Dispel VT = 3.2k, Affl+SP+Rogue kinda nice combo in 3's because of alot DoTs and your ability to heal 3 persons at same time.
