To clear out what he means:
He mean that you can scam gold, learn a epic flying mount, which means you have it "learned" as a pet.
Now that you have this pet, and they remove your skill, the pet is not removed, and since the pet is not a item, but rather a learned "skill" you can still use it.

This means that you can use the "pet" you have learned while you had epic flying skill learned, meaning you can use a 280% speed flying mount, but it still means that you cannot learn more mounts.

However, the proposal that Blizzard does not track trades is about as wrong as it can be, and it was probably just a mistake from the GMs that you recieved the gold back.

Basicly, you ment that you if you get caught by blizz, you'll still have some gold left and the flying mount in. But still, you've got to scam 5k gold.... Which is why this guide is not helping anyone.
