Best way to get gold imo, is run old school instances e.g Stratholme it gives you around 200g a run from the boss loot and greys then you get the chance on a epic can do full stratholme in like 30 - 40 mins , Then you got UBRS thats 120 - 140 from greys and boss loot then also chance on epic ubrs takes me 20 - 30 mins on my mage
