[GUIDE] how to shut down your computer without being at it.

Hello. This is my 2nd contribution

I hope this hasn't been posted before, seeing i wasnt able to find it with searches i though't i'd share it with you.

What does this do?
This guide will help you to make a computer schedule, in where you can tell it to shut down at a certain time, or at a certain task.

Why use this?
I've been fish botting with MrFishIt for 2 days now. The bot is working smoothly, but it doesn't have the function to shut down computer at any given time.

How to use this?
This guide will take you through a few detailed steps on how to shut down your computer with a scheduled task.

The guide:

1) Click Windows start icon and find "run" and click it. This can also be done with the windows button on the keyboard + r.

2) Type in control schedtasks. You will be asked to press "run" or accept" if you are running vista. A window will appear on the screen called "task management"

3) Click on the "add task" as shown in the picture as shown below, and name your task. Name it whatever, but make it clear to yourself what it is, because if you type any facesmash name, you might not be able to recognize it again.

Click "next" when you have named it, and are satisfied with the name.

4) Specefy how often you want this task to be run. If you are botting every day at a specefic time, you can tell it to shut down every day at a specefic time. I chose "once"

5) Now you have to put in at what time you want your computer to be shut down. Should be very simple. Click "next" and another step asks you what to do in the task. You choose "Run program".

6) Now it will ask you to specify what program or script should be run at the given time you entered. This is where you decide it has to shut down.

-Click browse
-Go to your windows folder
-Open system 32
-Find Shutdown.exe
-Click "ok" or doubleclick it.

7) Click "next" and confirm your task.

This should do it. This task will shutdown your computer at the given time you specified.

How else can i use this?
You can use it many many ways. Im not sure how many, but if you fill in your own parameters, it can work just the way you want it to.

Examples of thoughts i thought of making:
If wow crashes, start up a new one. Together with Auto-login, it could continue your botting.

If wow crashes, shutdown computer.

If bot crashes, restart it.

etc etc etc.

Or just type "shutdown -s -t 7200 -c "Shutting down in 2 hours" " into the Run field. If you need to abort, just open Run again and typ "Shutdown -a" Done.


Ofc it doesn't have as much features. But it will simply shut down your computer when you, lets say, go to school and are fishbotting.

or you can DOWNLOAD a program and have a nice GUI + do it in 5 sec?

nice, i use bifrost shut down my pc , if i have my laptop i can shut down from anywere as long as i have internet )
