So you just logged on? Open up the mail inviting you to the Argent Tournament, yeah, everyone got that not just you. Head on over to Icecrown, surprisingly enough not a whole lot of people know where the Tournament hub is located. It's located directly north of Sindragosa's Fall.
I'll be having you refer to this annotated map (thanks to wowwiki for the map) throughout the guide.
Run into the sanctuary(Green square that says START HERE on map) and pick of the quest "The Argent Tournament".
Then, run on over to your respective factions pavilions and turn in the quest. Then, pick of the three quests. "Mastery of Melee" "Mastery of the Charge" "Mastery of the Shield-Breaker"
These are 3 simple quests that will get you familiar with mounted combat. Saddle up a mount from outside the pavilion. (make sure you equip your lance). And head out over to the training dummies.
Speak to Jeran Lockwood and get the advice. Then follow the advice (It's pretty self explanitory) Then do the same for Rugen Steelbelly and Valis Windchaser.
Go back to your pavilion and turn them all in. You'll get a quest called, Up to the challenge. This quest will be completed over the next 3 days. 3 daily quests that reward a total of 5 seals. The quest requires 15 seals.
Now to start on those 3 quests. The quest I got for the day was "Edge of Winter" Which requires you to go to the crystal vice in order to kill the fire guy which drops the ember to unfreeze some woman in a pond. The fire guy is located here.
After that head over to winter's breath lake in northern howling fjord. And you'll see a ice patch in the middle with an ice block on it. use the ember on the iceblock and the quest will be complete.
Go back to the tournament grounds and do everything that "Learning the reigns" quest asks for. Which is just doing all the mounted combat stuff over again.
Then exit the grounds to the south and start killin the scourge you see. They're really easy. When your done go back to the pavilion and turn both quests in.
Pick up the Goblin daily quests, "A chip off the ulduar block" and "Jack me some lumber". Go east to the maker's terrace in the storm peaks. All the stones for the "a chip" quest can be found in a wide open space on the map that looks like it'd be the enterance to ulduar. Then go to the western part of 'the great tree' below dalaran. and looking for Crystalsong Oaks. Use the axe to cut them down and defeat a 79 tree mob. Return to tournament grounds and turn them in for gold(no rewards, beside gold)
To entertain yourself further you can do the Black Night quests which are started from inside the sancuary and can prove to be a rather interesting story.
I'll update it tomarrow with the alternative to "Winter's Edge", since there are 3 different types of quests that interchange with eachother.
