Reroll your "Items of the [animal]"

Having problems finding/buying that certain green or blue "of the [animal]" or just want to make lots of money selling twink items?

I especially had a hard time looting/buying the correct Ribsplitter and level 19 twink bracers. Then I remembered, about two years ago, my account was hacked and a lot of my twink gear was trashed or sold or whatever. When Blizzard finally restored my stuff, just about all of the "Items of the [animal]" had changed. GM's said they could not restore the exact item because they had randomly generated stats.

I decided to take a little gamble and see if I could use this to my advantage.

    What I did:
    1) Bought every potentially twinkable "of the [animal]" item I could find.
Example: Ribsplitter of the Whale or any item with the correct level but the wrong animal suffix.
    2) After stockpiling a large enough amount of potentially twinkable gear, I transferred all of it to a crappy secondary account. I'm sure you could leave it all on your main account, but I played it safe.
    3) After leaving the gear on the second account for a week or so, I went to a local internet cafe and "hacked" my own account. I sold or destroyed everything on the account.
    4) When I got home I did the whole account recovery/password change and then contacted a GM with a sob story, asking if my stuff could be restored.
    5) Account went under investigation and a few days later, I had a mailbox full of greens/blues of the [animal]. When I started the checking the suffixes, I noticed a lot of animal suffixes that I did not have before.

This method works with BoPs as well.
BoPs that potential twinks might be interested in:

Fire Opal Necklace - Item - World of Warcraft
Vice Grips - Item - World of Warcraft
Atal'ai Girdle - Item - World of Warcraft
Atal'ai Gloves - Item - World of Warcraft
Dark Iron Ring - Item - World of Warcraft

    Quick and Dirty Guide:

    1) Gather up potentially twinkable gear "of the [animal]"
    2) Transfer to second account
    3) Hack your own account from an internet cafe.
    4) Destroy or sell all your gear
    5) Create Ticket to restore lost gear
    6) Profit

    IT IS NOT HACKING!!!!!!!!!!
You don't "hack" your own account. You dont scam it either. Nobody "hacks" your account. They scam it.

Also, a bit too much work for good suffixes

Might be a bit of work for good suffixes. But it is decent alternative to mindless farming/AH camping.

Also, on some servers Ribsplitters of the bear and what not will sell for 4000g, while of the whale will only sell for 1000.

Level 19 of the [trash animal] sells for 1-3g.
Falcon, Eagle, Bear, Monkey, etc can sell for 30-100g per.

Yes and you should get around 30-32 good sufixes from 100 items So it might be worth it IMO

Step 1: Obtain 40 "Meadow ring of the X"
    Step 2: Do this guide
Step 3: Pray to the dark gods for "Of Eluding"
    Step 4: Profit!

Still, this isn't really repeatable, it's limited by GM stupidity (Wow, Jim, This is the third toon this week full of useless level X9 items I've restored this week) and it rests on nobody over at Blizzard's CS department knowing about MMOwned.

If you get away with it, good on you. I'll be over here doing naughty things to people for gold.

It's also not limited to one character. If your whole account just happened to be stock piled with a ton of potential twink items and the account got scammed. . . well yea. . . haha.

Definitely not repeatable though, unless you are brave or stupid.

I myself did not have to repeat it. Although, I was not really looking to sell stuff. It was just a nice added bonus.

Hrmmms, I'm not finding as many twinkable items on the AH anymore. Wonder if people have been stocking piling on my server.

This is not the gms fault, the items he restored are items you've had on your account previously, this happens ALOT, and im pretty shocked noone has pointed this out.

He didnt add new items to your acc, he just restored old ones you had long forgotten about.
