Just leave the instance and leave raid. Invite your friend, create raid > Instance reset^^

Easier way, kill 3 of the four big guys, and run out with the last one still alive. This will reset all 4 of them and leave the 3 you killed still lootable.

You needed toput that much effort into explaining "Go kill trash in AQ40, Almost everyone knows this but for those who don't AQ40 trash drops mounts, and like all permanent mounts they count towards Mountain o' Mounts."? Actually, that is a repost of a repost of a repost of another repost of another repost. I just wanted to make this clearer and how to do it. So instead of failing at bringing someone down, please contribute.

i saw someone use one of those in dalaran ;o? i thought they were only useable in AQ + i think it was a black one, not 100% sure on the color tho.

If it was not a bug/glitch, then it was the black one, which cannot be obtained by anyone anymore. Sadly
