[Warding the Walls] 100% drop rate

I'd just like to share my farming spot for the wintergrasp quest [Warding the walls] which everybody seems to hate due to a supposed "terrible" drop rate where the quest tells you to go.



All the water elementals, including the lesser seem to drop the chestplate every single kill.. I have yet to miss one.

Btw could you link wowhead % drop? or look it up, cause it just could be your own experience and you killed 5 mobs and then posted this":/

If it's a quest item that only drops when you have the quest, you can't rely on wowhead since people also kill them while not having the quest - so the % is lower than would be if it counted only for kills while having the quest.

I have tested this over 10 dailys in a row.

Had friends do the same.

How about waiting till you get the daily, then posting a comment on it's accuracy, instead of wild speculation. It works

Also, I'd like to know how you can specify areas of mobs instead of just mobs on wowhead.

A Simple Tip:

Blizz fixed the droprate for ALL Daily quests of this kind. i do them since days and the droprate is that:


Normal Elemental: 100% 1 piece

Big Elemental: 100% 1-2 pieces

Players (of the other faction): 5 pieces (dont know % because i dont killed much)

Lol wait, what? i done this quest like million times and i always had 100% drop rate? Sme for the other daylie's.

* We have increased the drop rate for the quest items required to complete the following quests in Lake Wintergrasp: A Rare Herb, Bones And Arrows, Fueling the Demolishers, Warding the Warriors, Healing with Roses, Jinxing the Walls, and Warding the Walls.

Yes it has been 100% minimum for a while now. I remember early on you'd be lucky to get 1 in 5 kills and I had quit doing collect 10 dailies for days.

I always go there, been finishing the quest in like 10 mins every day.
