Herbalism And Alchemy Guide: Make 1400g an hour!
With routes for maximum profit!

Introduction

If you are looking for a way to make 1.4k gold an hour, then you may consider getting Herbalism and Alchemy to 450! It should not take a very long time; I used 4 days to skill both to 450. However, the real money lies within level 450 of both professions. So if you have another profession, and you are not making a ton of gold on it. Then I believe Alchemy / Herbalism is the way to go. You can also make potions / elixirs / flasks / trinkets for yourself with Alchemy! The three trinkets in Wotlk are the following:

Mercurial Alchemist Stone
For Healers and/or ranged DPS.

Indestructible Alchemist"s Stone
For Tanks.

Mighty Alchemist"s Stone
For DPS.

There are many reasons to pick Alchemy:

• Mixology: Twice the amount of time on self-made elixirs / flasks!
• You can make Potions / Elixirs / Flasks and more to improve your performance!
• You can make cool potions, like invisibility potions, speed potions, water-walking potions, and more!
• You can make trinkets for your own character!
• With Mixology, you also get an increased effect of the elixirs / flasks you make!
• You can transmute Gems/Elementals into other items!

And there are many more! So please follow this guide, if you wish to be able to make insane amounts of gold all day!

The Guide:

These are the places that you are going to want to farm herbs:

• Borean Tundra
• Sholazar Basin
• Icecrown
• The Storm Peaks
• Zul'Drak

The other zones are not as efficient to herb. So you shouldn't waste your time in those zones.

The Route:
The most efficient places to herb are listed in green and the less, but still efficient places are listed in red.

The first zone: Borean Tundra!



In this zone you will recieve Tiger Lily, Fire Leaf / Fire Seed and Goldclover. Goldclover is going to be the first herb you will pick in Northrend.
And remember to keep all the herbs you collect!

The second zone: Sholazar Basin!



Sholazar Basin is a herber's dream! Pick up Tiger lily's around waterholes, and Adder's Tongue / Goldclover.
Again, keep all the herbs you pick up.

The third zone: Icecrown!



Congratulations! This is your first high-level herbalism zone! This place will not generally give you alot of herbs.
But you should check out the places masked in green for a nice amount of herbs!

The fourth zone: The Storm Peaks!



This is by far the best map to farm herbs! Try creating a route to fly through this zone.
Because you are going to pick up ALOT of herbs in this particular zone!

The sixth and final zone: Zul'Drak!



This is the ONLY place in Northrend where you can pick up Talandra's Rose. You also get a nice amount of Goldclover from this place.
The snowy area is covered with Frozen Herb, than can contain Tiger lily, Goldclover and Talandra's Rose.

Making potions / elixirs / flasks!

So you have a bunch of herbs? Great! You are ready to make gold! The main flowers you are going to want to farm are:

• Goldclover
• Deadnettle
• Tiger Lily
• Lichbloom
• Adder's Tongue
• Talandra's Rose

The potions / elixirs / flasks you want to create:

• Powerful Rejuvenation Potion (40-60g per x5)
• Runic Mana Potion (40-50g per x5)
• Runic Healing Potion (25-35g per x5)
• Elixir of Mighty Strength (20-30g per x5)
• Elixir of Mighty Fortitude (35-45g per x5)
• Elixir of Mighty Agility (25-35g per x5)
• Elixir of Mighty Thoughts (25-35g per x5)
  

If you make these potions, and farm those places regularely. You can make up to 2k gold a day. Just invest 1-2 hours picking flowers, and making one of the above potions / elixirs / flasks out of them! Easy money! And you only pay 40s per potion / elixir / flask you make! ( You have to have something to put them into )

The reason I uploaded to Imageshack is because they have the ability to resize images. Tinypic doesn't. And thottbot is the easiest wow database to understand in my opinion.

Not to mention anyone that uses firefox and plays wow should have a greasemonkey extension to enable wowhead tool tips without having to click links.

Easier to understand, huh? Thotbots layout makes me want to gouge a baby's eyes out with a toothpick, the "tooltips" look NOTHING like ingame. For instance, the potions you linked have orange names, wtf? There are many more users on wowhead and have much more accurate info because they have a client. There are a million more reasons why wowhead is better but I guess I'll let you suffer with thotbot.

i think the flask / pot selling depends on ur server i.e. server iam on the herbs are worth more as herbs then as flasks or pots, as frost lotus is still selling for 40g each. but flasks are between 20-55g lol
