Another farming spot - 300g+/hour and chance to get a mount.

I've been farming this place for a while but I didn't post it because I thought 300g/hour isn't much.
But today I saw other thread about 300g/h and some people are interested in it so I decided to post.

Why do I post this?
Again, it's a choice, if you place is crowded, you'll have another spot to farm. And my spot usually has no people farming at all on my realm.

Where to farm?
Stormraider in the Storm Peaks
Stormrider - NPC - World of Warcraft
Around 31,48 in the Storm Peaks.
If you don't have coordinate mods, it's the white area in the map West of Grom'arsh Crash Site, Northwest of Temple of Storms, Northwest of Valkyrian, Southeast of Snowdrift Plains or you can simply check wowhead link I posted above to see the location of them on the map.

What will you got?
According to wowhead, this mob gives
33% to give a Relic of Ulduar
26% to give 1-2 Crystallaized Air
Crystallized Air is about 3g each on my realm. Farming here doesn't give much profit before 3.0.8
But since Relic of Ulduar is not BoP now, it's about 4g each in AH on my realm.

How many gold per hour?
I take about 30 seconds per kill for these level 78-80 non elite mobs. Yes, I know it's slow, you don't have to tell me since I saw a DK two/three shotted them before. I'll calculate with this rate.
30 seconds per kill in one hour is equals to 120 kills per hour.
You'll got 33% of 120 = 39-40 Relic of Ulduar x 4g = 158 gold
26% x 1.5 of 120 = 46-47 Crystallized Air x 3g = 139-140g
So you got about 297-298g per hour just from Relic and Crystallized Air
But when I actually farm this I usually got more than 300g per hour since I got a few greens and bonus gold from junk vendor items too.
And if you can perform better than 30 sec per kill, you'll also got more. Like if you can kill them in 20 seconds, you'll get about 450g per hour just from relic and air.

A mount?
Yes, I mentioned about chance to get a mount in the topic, and it's also the one of the two main reason why I choose to farm here.
1st reason, this spot usually have no one farming, unlike other farming spot.
2nd reason, Time-Lost Proto Drake route fly pass here.
For those who don't know, Time-Lost Proto Drake is a level 80 rare elite mob with 6 hours spawn timer that will gives you 100% chance to get Reins of Time-Lost Proto Drake from his corpse loot.
It's rare because of long spawn timer, share spawn with 2 other proto drake, and I heard it despawns after a while if nobody aggroed him. All proto-drake are rare anyway.
So while you farm here you can create macro for your main ability to target Time-Lost Proto Drake and get a chance to spot this rare mob.

Example macro: instead of casting Frostfire Bolt normally I create a macro like this

/target Time-Lost Proto Drake
/cast Frostfire Bolt

and put it in the action bar instead of my normal Frostfire Bolt button, now if Time-Lost Proto Drake comes in your display range, you'll see him as a target instead of your current target.

Now you can enjoy farming gold while having a chance to get a very rare flying mount too.

18,900 health and hit me only about 500-1000 in my cloth armor, I think most people should be able to solo it.

Never tried to shoot it from the ground but I believe that you need a flying mount to pull him down.
If you're level 77+ you can get free flying mount that can be used in Storm Peaks, Icecrown and Sholazar Basin and it doesn't require cold weather flying skill to use.
The NPC that gives you this mount is next to K3 flight master, his name is "Honest" Max

So all you need is to be lv77+ but it'd be sad if you got the mount and can't ride it, right?

edit - just found that there are some spot that you can even attack him with spell or range weapon from the ground, however, you still need flying skill to ride the mount.
