Not sure if this helps anyone but I believe while your in the instances gaining rep. The announcer guy for the rare spawns yells that they have spawned. I believe you get the messages while your in the instaces. So if you see it run out the instance and kill the rare in the arena

Heres an addition for ya: Ogre Tannin

While this will ultimately reduce the amount of gold you can make doing these runs, doing the ogre tannin quest should reduce the overall amount of runs you would need in order to farm the rep back. It rewards 75 rep per turning of the question (250 rep for the first turnin). The suite requires 8 rugges leather and 4 bolts of runecloth to make (cut those mats in half if you are a LWer or Tailor).

Foror's Compendium of Dragon Slaying is used for the quest chain for Quel'serrar for warriors and paladins. Also, you can turn in the books for shen'dralar rep if you're working on the Insane title.
Lastly, I'd reccomend using heroic blues en lieu of regular gear due to it 1) lowering repair costs, and 2) brings the instance runs out a short bit, making it harder to cap on instances.
