Ok so this can be pretty much common sense if you already got max fishing and so on but to the people that don't got yet max fishing it might contain some nice tips.
First off how to get max. fishing ( 450 )
-Fishing 1-75 : Trainer
-Fishing 75-150 : Trainer
-Fishing 150-225 : Book , bought from Creature: Old Man Heming - Thottbot: World of Warcraft ( Old Man Heming , at 27,77 , under alliance flight master )
-Fishing 225-300 : You need to get a quest off Nat Pagle at around 58,59 ( Creature: Nat Pagle - Thottbot: World of Warcraft ) named "Nat Pagle, Angler Extreme" in Dustwallow Marsh , you will have to fish four fishes each located in the following places:
#Savage Coast Blue Sailfin located in Stranglethorn Vale 34,31 ( for those with no-cords , you must fish it in the "Savage Coast" area in STV )
#Misty Reed Mahi Mahi located in Swamps Of Sorrow 80,92 ( for those with no-cords , you must fish it in the "Misty Reed" area on the eastern coast in the southernst post
#Feralas Ahi located in Feralas at around 61,50 ( for those with no-cords , you must fish it in the "Verdantis River" , i believe it's between Camp Mojache and the west coast
#Sar'theris Striker in Desolace at around 25,78 ( for those with no-cords it's on the coast near Shadowprey Village )
And voila you're done with probably the hardest part of leveling fishing , now you can go for the 300 fishing skill.
-Fishing 300-375 : You must buy a book from Juno Dufrain (78, 66) in Zangarmash , Cenarion Refuge for 5 gold
-Fishing 375-450 : Trainer , any Grand Master Fishing Trainer in Howling Fjord/Borean Tundra and/or other cities.
When leveling fishing it doesn't matter wheter you fish in Barrens or Alterac Valley or Shadowmoon , it matters the number of succesful casts you do , it's up to you if you loot the fish or not so you can get the last skill points in Barrens if you like.
Leveling fishing is booring as **** and we all know this , but thanks to people like PiroX we can get the fishing skill up while we are doing something else like watching TV , eating something or even sleeping by using a bot.
The bot I used to get on both of my toons from 1 to 450 fishing was PiroX FishBot (http://www.mmowned.com/forums/bots-p...s-fishbot.html)
I really recommend the bot because it works great ( didn't had any problems ) from what I've seen it's undectable , it can loot you're fish ( easy way to get 1000 fish caught achievemnt ) , it's easy to setup and it's free!
To get the maximum possible fishing skill ( 602 ) you need to have the following items :
-450 fishing skill
-100 lure enchant
-5 the fishing hat Lucky Fishing Hat - Thottbot: World of Warcraft
-5 the fishing boots Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots - Thottbot: World of Warcraft
-2 enchant
-35 is the fishing pole from STV quest Arcanite Fishing Pole - Thottbot: World of Warcraft
/ you can also get the epic pole from Kalu'ak Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole - Thottbot: World of Warcraft
/do this quest Quest: Rather Be Fishin' - Thottbot: World of Warcraft to get Seth's Graphite Fishing Pole - Thottbot: World of Warcraft + 20 fishing pole
Tips on how to play the STV contest:
1. Get Weather-Beaten Journal ( Weather-Beaten Journal - Thottbot: World of Warcraft ) it can track fishing nodes , aswell the Tastyfish ones from where you need to get the fish for the contest ( it helps alot ) and can be aquired from Curious Crates , Heavy Supply Crates , Iron Bound Trunks , Mithril Bound Trunks
Watertight Trunks.
2.Get you're fishing skill as highest possible as described before
3.Some suggested starting at 41,58 or 31,62 because there spawns two nodes at once
4.Place you're hearthstone in Booty Bay so when you got all the fish you don't have to run that much.Remember , every minute counts here!
5.You can have friends help you too by killing the enemy competition or spotting fish nodes for you along the coast.
The fishing contest starts at 14:00 Sunday and there is only one winner per week per server.
