Usually if I'm up against a Rogue, I take the stun, trinket if it's up, blink, Slow him, PoM + AP + Pyro followed up with an Arcane Barrage and Fire Blast if he's not dead by then and if he Vanishes before I can get anything off, then I'm boned.
Frost is much better for survival and not like instant deaths. They get the job done, but it takes a bit longer and you have a much higher chance of surviving.

Exactly, if you don't have ANY CDs then you are over. You are like a mage without a spec.

Yeah, which explains why Frost is so good for survivability. You have like 4 lives with Frost spec. I would rep you for all the info you gave me if I could but I've repped too many people today. D:
