    Update: I got the title

Hello and welcome to this years Lunar Festival guide, You'll proberly all be waiting tilll hte event starts and cant wait to get your new title: Elder.

For me, the lunar festival is the best event of the year. it has fireworks, and a lot of nice ones.

Also, how about killing Omen in Moonglade And get your exclusiveElune's latern(its nice for those collectors who collect useless stuff like me)

Also, you’ll also get +75 reputation with Alliance or Horde, which translates into +75 reputation with each major city. That’s 3750 reputation each if you visit all 50 elders. If you were to purchase that kind of rep with runecloth you’d probably be looking at 500 gold or more.(Jchunx)

    Quests
"The Lunar Festival" starts at Lunar Festival Emmissary, ends at Lunar Festival Harbringer. Can be completed in Orgimmar, Thunderbluff or Undercity for Horde and Ironforge, Stormwind and Darnassus for Alliance. Only once though.

"Lunar Fireworks" starts and ends at Lunar Festival Harbringer. Purchase 8 small rockets and 2 rocket cluster from the Lunar Festival Vendor (beside the Harbringer) and right click them near the launchers to complete the quest. Rewards 150 Cenarion Circle rep and a Lunar Festival Invitation which teleports you to Moonglade when you use it in the circle of greater moonlight.

"Valadar Starsong". Starts at Lunar Festival Harbringer. Use the Lunar Festival Invitation to teleport to Moonglade then go north to the town of Nighthaven and turn it in to Valadar Starsong on the east side.

    Ironforge - Mystic Ward
    Fly gryphon to Thorium Point
Searing Gorge - Southwest corner in Blackchar Cave: [21, 79]
Blackrock Spire - After a few pulls into LBRS, the Elder will be across the first wooden bridge.
Blackrock Depths - In the middle of the Ring of Law.
Burning Steppes - Flame Crest (that cave with the Libram guy): [64, 24]

Stranglethorn Vale - Above the bank in Booty Bay: [26, 76]

The Barrens - In Ratchet, behind the bank: [62, 36]
Orgrimmar - Valley of Wisdom: [40, 34] (Luckily for you, Orgrimmar is the largest Horde city, and just like Ironforge, the most crowded places are the bank, the mailbox, and the Auction House. Orgrimmar has two entrances. One in the south and one in the west. You would like to enter the western entrance, since this is the entrance with the least players, however, you still have to outrun guards!)
    Durotar - Razor Hill: [53, 43]
    The Barrens - Crossroads: [51, 30]
    The Barrens - Camp Taurajo: [45, 57]
Mulgore - North end of Bloodhoof Village by bridge: [48, 53]
Thunderbluff - Elder Rise: [72, 23] (Unlike Orgrimmar, Thunder Bluff is not a very big city, therefore, you are much more likely to meet enemy players. However, Thunderbluff is just as popular a city as Darnassus is, and so you have a great chance of not being outnumbered. At least not by anything more than level 15 tauren druids. Enter by the north lift, and go east towards the elder rise.)
Thousand Needles - In Freewind Post: [45, 50]
Thousand Needles - In Shimmering Flats by Mirage Raceway: [79, 77]
    Tanaris - In Gadgetzan: [51, 27]

    Fly to Aerie Peak
Hinterlands - In the middle of Hinterlands by the Creeping Ruin: [49, 48]
Western Plaguelands - Elder Moonstrike is atop the Scholomance tower, outside the instance: [69, 74]
Western Plaguelands - In the Northeast, south of the Weeping Cave: [65, 47]
Eastern Plaguelands - At Crown Guard Tower in the south: [39, 75]
    Eastern Plaguelands - By Light's Hope Chapel: [81, 60]
Stratholme - North of the Festival Lane mailbox. Enter through the back door. Make your first left in the instance, go through the gate, turn right, and the Elder will be standing at the back.
Tirisfal Glades - Slightly south of the town of Brill: [61, 53]
Silverpine Forest - By The Sepulcher: [45, 41]

This quest is not repeatable, although you may purchase additional candles for 10 silver each (they are unique, so you can only carry one at a time).

    In the end
On the last day of the festival, one last firework show will be held in Moonglade. This parallels the Chinese "Festival of Lanterns," with extra lanterns spawned around Lake Elune'ara (the firework show occurs over the lake).

    Lore
Ok, so for you lore geeks we also got a nice thing
The Lunar Festival is a time of celebration. The peoples of Azeroth celebrate their triumph of many thousands of years ago, when an alliance of good races (Night Elves, Tauren, and Earthen - a proto-dwarven race) defeated a terrible evil. It is also a time of remembrance for the valor and wisdom of that ancient age.
The demi-god Omen was a being of great strength and knowledge. Blessed by Elune, Omen wandered primordial Kalimdor, guiding hunters and gatherers and offering luck and advice to all he met. When the Burning Legion launched their attack, Omen allied with Azeroth's defenders. He fought bravely but after many battles his wounds from demonic forces plunged Omen into a deep, dreaming sleep... where fel-inspired nightmares slowly consumed him. When he finally awoke, centuries later, he had fallen to madness.
The transformed Omen rampaged. No longer a creature of wisdom - but still possessing the strength of Elune's blessing - he tore through the land, killing and devouring. Terror rode before him, and death trailed in his wake.
Omen's spree of horror ended when a coterie of ancient heroes gathered in the village of Nighthaven and faced the beast. They called down the moon's wrath and Omen, blinded and stunned by the power of the moon goddess, fled into the deep waters of Lake Elune'ara. That day marked the end of his rampage, and symbolized a new beginning for the people of Azeroth and the followers of Elune.
Today, the Lunar Festival is held by the druids of Nighthaven. Both the Horde and Alliance are welcomed to celebrate and shoot fireworks - a symbol of Elune's power. Ancient heroes of the past also appear throughout the land, offering gifts to those who find and honor them.
It is a time of happiness and fortune and celebration, but it has a deeper motive as well...
Omen, defeated so many centuries ago, yet remains in Lake Elune'ara. Although driven insane by the Burning Legion, the demi-god still possesses Elune's blessing and is, hence, immortal. During the Lunar Festival, he stirs... and heroes of the land are called to defeat him once again.
