Dualboxing / Multitasking tricks!

Hi MMOwned, i'd just like to share some information that i've gathered from multiboxing/multitasking accounts. :-)

First off, make sure to have this toggled off:

This can make you see wierd things like stripes over your screen and we do not want that :-)

Second, use these settings:

It'll make you able to resize the windows and what not ;-)

Third, if you put a character on follow, DO NOT MINIMISE THE WINDOW!
Stay away from:

Instead, just keep the windows something like this: WARNING, BIG PICTURE

It will let you resize it and just click the window on the bottom of the screen when you want to switch windows. This will let your other character follow your main and it never stops or lags out, allowing you to run constantly!

And for the last tip: If you want more fps on one window while standing still/afking with the other one: Minimise the afk window! The other window will barely use any memory usage and you will be able to play smoothly again :-)

Ermmm, go to Portal - Dual-Boxing.com Community Forum and get keyclone. 1 time purchase, license for life and no hassle. You can put the windows how you like. Even PiP (picture in picture).

I already have it, but do you want to use keyclone for boosting an alt? O.o

Ya for hitting your /follow macro on the alt. Also if you're doing the "Athene" method of power leveling, it will make it easier.

Finally, when alt is getting a bit higher, you can macro buffs/ heals or w/e else useful and use them from main toon screen.

If you dont want to buy keyclone (well worth it imo) you can use autohotkey (google it) to do a lot of the same things, specifically broadcasting keys across multiple wow windows.

When wow is in background mode it will only run at 5 fps.

that's a nice tip too but how do you get it back to normal/default after doing the maxdpsbk 5 ? I am at work so can't test.

As your doing /console does it mean that the settings will reset once you restart wow ?

/console maxfpsbk 30 is the standard i believe, however using
/console maxfpsbk 5 will make your character lag so much that it sometimes stop following. I recommend atleast 10 fps, and also, you can type /console maxfps 202 to get the max out of what your computer can accomplish :-)

Pfft, keyclone is easy to get for free so no need to whine about it being expensive. Though I've bought it myself, it's like a wet dream come true.

Maxfps doesn't change anything when vsync is enabled.
And I was just using 5 as an example.
