[GUIDE]Things known and unknown about Time Lost Proto Drake rare elite

This was made by me...after some hard work trying to camp it find it ..or just plain luck fyinding it...

This reserch was made with the help of numerous comments on diferent forums and help from guildies and friends..With strong evidence that it is true

So lets start i hope i can help others to get it ..( I didn't)
Well i want those reins of the time lost proto drake very much and in the past 2 weeks that was my main priority with no luck ..and i camped it even 10-15 hours straight....

So after two weeks what i know is:
-The 6 hours respawn is wrong i have reason to belive itz from 1 day to 7 days random hour and spot respawn (seen spawn in multiple places like "the foot steps", "terrace of makers" "bor's breath" and "valkyron village"
-It is rumored that it shares the respawn time with Vyragosa also rare blue drake
- The maintainance WILL NOT restart the respawn timer or respwan it (i can confirm that in the 2 weeks he didn't spawn after the maintainance or someone killed it)
-Hunters can use track dargonkin to find it faster
-Also it is know that it can have 4 paths that he can follow (but he is very elusive)
- How ever it dose not share the respawn with Dirkee (the rare mechanognome) i have killed dirkee and found the body of the Time-lost Proto-Drake in under 5 mins..after killing dirkee also..
- Dirkee and Vyragosa DO NOT share the respawn timer i personally seen them both alive and i can vouch with my live for this..
- The macro i use is this :
/cleartarget
/tar Dirkee
/tar Vyra
/tar Time-lost
/stopmacro [noexists] , [dead]
/tell YOUR NAME HERE >%t<
/run RaidNotice_AddMessage(RaidBossEmoteFrame,"RARE SPAWN IS NEARBY!", ChatTypeInfo["RAID_WARNING"])

I use the "time-lost" becouse will not target hunter pets or players ( u can't put "-" in any name)

- It is rumored that % Time-lost Proto-drake will spawn is 25% and the other 75% is vyragosa spawn also the vyragosa spawns offen in two weeks i found him dead 8 times and killed it myself 4 times.

Also a GM told me that AT THE MOMENT THE TIME-LOST PROTO-DRAKE IS THE RAREST CREATURE IN WORLD OF WARCRAFT. AND THE ONE WHO KILLS IT IS A VERY LUCKY PERSON.
Either then this u can't get anything from a GM about it..

I was wondering if you might know this, does it cross over to Frosthold, or does it never even go in that direction, coming from Bor's Breath, ofcourse.

No what i have seen on forums his flight path is random the sure places to find him are
Bor's Breath
Bor's fall
Valkyron
Snowdrift plains
Terrace of makers
Engine of makers
The Foot steps
There in this places is known to spawn or to be killed the most times


atm it is very elusive and most topics on forums are only speculations

How high does it fly, exactly? should i be flying 20 yards from ground level? or does it appear much higher?

In some places like he foot stepps it flys arround 5-20 yards ..and over the valkyrion it flyes high arround 40-60 yards and in bor's breath arround 20-40 yards ...it depends where he is ..his avarege speed is like the 60% mount i will also post a link to a pic of it so u will know how it looks like :

yea, the tlpd is atm the rarest creature in wow

if you REALLY want that drake (and i do), you should be ready to put a lot of time in it. its not just4fun the TIME-LOST proto drake:P still sittin here at bors breath and wait, wait, and wait...

but to your info post:

i think the minimum-6hrs-respawn is correct, since i NEVER found either vyragosa or the tlpd at least 6 hrs after one of them was killed. also sometimes used the timer to sleep for at least a few hrs^^

i also think that the tlpd/vyragosa spawn at full hours +-10 mins. (4:50-5:10 and so on,..)
ive got reason for it, coz most kills (all but one) were at the times i said. also talked to others and read a lot of forums, which say the same.

both tlpd and vyragosa have the same respawn-timer. never saw them at the same time.

the maintenance does not reset the respawn-timer.

the tlpd and vyragosa have 4 routes theyre following. 3 of them cross at around (30.66).

i used the macro posted above, downloaded an autoclicker (rsclient, just google it), put my sound on max, went to the coords above and told the autoclicker to click every 1 sec on the macro. when either vyragosa or the tlpd would spawn the macro will play the really annoying raid-warning sound. thats pretty cool, so you can go sleepin or going afk w/o thinking about that you may miss the drake.
theres nothing harder than lookin on your monitor for more than 18hrs a day, believe me

i will love to get that mount! been farming the map over 5 weeks now, randomly scanning and spamming my /target macro .. but nothing ! not even the body on the ground (

I was so ****ing unlucky this other day. I had been in a raid with some guildies and i were in Dalaran when i tought hey lets go check if Time-Lost is there and then i rememberd that my DKP got screwd up in a Naxx raid some days b4 that so we spoke for like 10-15min about that THEN i flew to Time-Lost's place and found him dead.. :'(

OMG I did not know these dragons flying around storm peaks were special. I've seen them flying around several times while leveling and also while just farming leather in SP >.<
Maybe it's just my server, that's low pop, or I'm just insanely stupid not to have killed all those yet xD
But thanks for this post, I can use that macro if no one on my server is doing the same xD - even tho you really did just put all the wowhead comments into one post ;p
