If you're looking for a quality gaming headset, the Astro A40 is the way to go.

I've been using this for a few months, and although it can be a bit uncomfortable after a couple hours, it is a top of the line headset. The audio quality is pristine and everything else about it just rocks. ExtremeTech did a review on it a while back:

It's pricey, but definitely worth it.

Personal Update: My friend got me some Plantronic Gamecoms and I dont know if I should keep them or trade them in for some Sennheiser HD 555s and a clip on mic...
