The only thing I came across that even references anything in this guide was here. I actually stumbled across this earlier this week and I wanted to post it here, (I hadn't even found the original thread before discovering this).
What this guide does, is teaches you how to tank ENTIRE instances efficiently as a protection specialization warrior.
What you will need:
-Warrior, level 80 (I did this as a 73 however, the extra levels do help a lot though)
-Figurine of the Colossus (trinket, instance boss drop)
-Any other trinket that increases your block rating/value significantly when activated
Talents:
Improved Demoralizing Shout 5/5
Piercing Howl 1/1
Improved Thunder Clap 3/3
Protection Specialization up to Shockwave 1/1
Pulling the instance:
- Activate your Bloodrage
- Pull the mobs using your Demoralizing Shout
- Use Piercing Howl to slow the mobs down and keep them from hitting you
- Continuing pulling every single mob until you've reached the end of the instance
- Wait for the mobs to catch up, then use Piercing Howl again to huddle them together and spam Shockwave and Thunderclap
- When you are getting super low on health, activate both trinkets as well as your Shield Block
- At this point, you will be healing yourself HARDCORE from the Figurine of the Colossus, usually until you're full health
- Continue killing until all mobs are dead
- Loot, rinse and repeat
Here are some screenshots of the pull, the fight, and the heals (taken from Zul'Farrak)
Every mob in Zul'Farrak, save for probably 10 or so, and NOT counting the event at the end.

This gives you an idea of just how many mobs I was pulling:
A NOTE ON FARMING ZUL'FARRAK
I ran into one problem when doing this. The Shadowhunters (archers) in this instance will hex you every once in a while. They turn you into a frog for about 10 seconds and I died a few times because of this, so keep an eye out.
Use this method to farm gold, cloth, even level 40 epics. The larger instances it may take you a bit longer to finish. But that's to be expected. Depending on how efficient you are, you can make good time, and lots of gold, (the junk loot and cloth sells for quite a bit).
I haven't tried this any place else except Scarlet Monestary and Zul'Farrak. I walked out of Scarlet Monestary with about 10g. Zul'Farrak was 20-30 gold per run, sometimes more (that's picking up EVERYTHING including junk loot). If you use this method, you will get better at it and figure out the most efficient way to finish each run, (everyone has their own way). I haven't even mentioned blues and greens, along with cloth you can sell at the auction house.
I will update how other instances go when I have some more time. Enjoy!
ONE LAST NOTE:
I just want to re-iterate how effective the use of the Figurine of the Colossus is for farming. This works for a great many thing.
-Farming Cloth
-Farming Gold
-Power leveling new characters, (friends, or dual-boxing)
-Power leveling Skinning
-Farming low-level epics
-Most anything else you can think of that farming like this will help with
Warriors already had the ability to solo tank huge mobs like this, but we always died because we couldn't heal ourselves, (Last Stand talent and a potion don't help that much). Using this method, you can now use your warrior abilities and potions as a backup after you've used the Figurine of the Colossus. If you're using boots with a run speed increase, you can even get far enough ahead of mobs using your Piercing Howl to use a bandage! I know, I've done it. With a little practice, you could tank mobs like this (depending on the level of course), indefinitely; because the trinket has but a 2 minute cooldown. I hope this helps some people, and if doesn't sound like it works, try it out. Trust me, it works, and it makes you feel like your character is invincible.
