Blizzard recently added some ads to their forums. Pretty frustrating. Here is how to get rid of them. I take no credit for this. It's simply a copy and paste from the Off Topic Forums.
How to get rid of WoW forum ads using Mozilla Firefox.
If your an IE user: upgrade your *#!%. Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable
For the rest of us sane people who are using Firefox, here you go.
step1: Download AdBlockPlus

(If you don't trust the direct download link, here is the source: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865)
step2: Download the Hide Element Helper. This will allow you to remove the grey squares left behind when adblockplus kills the images.

(Source link in case you don't trust the direct download link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4364)
Step3: Restart firefox. At this time, instead of ads, you should have grey boxes

Step4: Note the stop sign labeled ABP in the top-right corner of your browser. Yours actually might be in a different location than mine, since I took the time to configure a lot of things in firefox.
Click the ABP stop sign, and select "select elements to hide." or press CTRL+SHFT+K
Then, using your mouse, select the top ad frame. The grey box will be outlined in red. Click once, then click 'add filter rule' and it disappears! It's just like magic! Now, do the same to the side ad frame. Note that after you get rid of the side ad, it still looks a bit funny. Select elements to hide, and highlight the right border. It will say "TD" when you mouse over it.
